How Frostpunk 2 Districts Work

Frostpunk 2

Frostpunk 2 Districts are the sectors that make up a city. Each district serves a unique purpose. There are six types of districts. Let’s find out all there is to know about them.

Frostpunk 2 Districts – General Info

Districts represent the Frostpunk 2 building mechanic. We don’t place individual buildings. Instead, we build these districts that have specific facilities. The number of buildings within a district depends on the district’s expansion level. The role of a district is to provide resources, however, districts are both resource generators and consumers.

Districts are built using Heatstamps and Workforce. The provided resources depend on the district’s type. Some districts can only be constructed on specific terrain, such as resource deposits. The location of a district is also important. The area effect is another essential Frostpunk 2 mechanic. Placing complementary districts next to each other unlocks bonuses. On the other hand, incompatible nearby districts create problems.
