Red Loong’s Attack Patterns

How to defeat the Black Myth Wukong boss Red Loong

The Red Loong has five attacks and relies mostly on its double-bladed tail. In three of the five attacks, it uses its tail. In the first one, it’ll swipe at you with its tail, which you can dodge by timing it right. In another attack, Red Loong will turn around and swipe its tail from side to side. This is an AOE attack that you can avoid by running away when Red Loong turns around. In a combo attack, the boss will use the horns and tail, which conducts electricity, to whip you multiple times. You can dodge or avoid this by running away.

The boss uses electricity in another attack where it’ll charge you, creating electric sparks around it. This is an AOE attack that can be avoided by moving away from it when you see it charging you.

Lastly, in a rather simple attack, the boss will raise itself up before stomping on you. When you see the boss rise up, dodge to the side to avoid the stomp.

Tips to Defeat Red Loong

Since the boss does shock damage, it’s best that you have a lot of Shock-Quelling Powder on you to help negate the effects of its attack. Red Loong’s weak spot is on its back, so attack that area as much as possible. Use spells like Immobilize and spirits like Wandering Wight if you have it.
