The Violet Spider Boss Attack Patterns
The Violet Spider is a formidable opponent with nine different attacks. The spider has three simple close-range attacks. In one, it rolls toward you and strikes its two front claws into the ground. In another attack with its claws, the spider raises itself up before striking down, alternating between claws. The final strike comes from above. The boss will also try to crush you with its abdomen. Dodge or run to the side to avoid these attacks.
The Violet Spider has multiple different projectile attacks. It has two attacks where it’ll shoot webs at you, one of them will track you for a short period of time while the other has an AOE. It also shoots five poison projectiles. Dodge as they near you or use staff spin.
Sticking with poison attacks, the spider can also spit a pool of poison at you. Its claws glow green before the attack, giving you time to dodge. In an aggressive poison attack, the spider will bury its head underground, explode, and then spray poison everywhere. If you stay near the spider’s abdomen, you should be able to avoid the poison.
Lastly, as the spider’s health gets slow, it will begin to glow, teleport you to the middle of the battle area, and then cover the entire floor with webs. The webs will ensnare you, leaving you helpless to its attacks. Bajie will warn you not to look into her eyes right as this attack begins. To stop the spider from attacking, turn around and face the camera until it stops screaming. Avoid this attack at all cost.
