How to Solve the Crimson Desert Duskwood Hill Ruins Puzzle

The Duskwood Hill Ruins puzzle is at the Alfonso Estate in northern Witchwoods.

Take the western exit to leave the city of Hernand and continue to the south. Cross the rivers and you will reach the abandoned estate. Make sure to save your game before starting the puzzle. If you need to reset and you don’t have a previous save file, leave the area and return.

Ancient Ruins Puzzle Solution

Look around and notice the overgrown bushes. The first thing you need to do is to clear the central puzzle mechanism and the five pillars.

Use arrows or the Focus Light ability to clear the vines.

Notice the five pillars. To solve the Crimson Desert Duskwood Hill Ruins puzzle, you must raise the four shorter pillars to the same height as the tallest pillar (the one on the left). The main mechanism has four holes, in which you can insert your sword. Each hole controls two or three pillars. The tallest pillar doesn’t move. We’ll use it as a reference.

Insert the sword into the slot facing the pillars and move clockwise to raise the second, third, and fourth pillars.

Insert the sword into the slot facing the screen and move clockwise to raise the second and fifth pillars. Notice that the second pillar is now correctly aligned with the tallest pillar and the other three pillars have the same height.

Insert the sword into the slot facing the pillars and move clockwise to raise the third, fourth, and fifth pillars until they are lined up with the first two.

Once all five pillars are of the same height, you can interact with the pedestal and collect the reward for solving the Crimson Desert Duskwood puzzle, an Abyss Cresset.
