How to Get the Crimson Desert Mark of Darkness Ring

The Mark of Darkness ring is found while exploring Windmere Manor.

You will visit this location during the Bloodied Invitation main quest in Chapter 8, Blood Coronation. However, you don’t need to progress through the main story to unlock Windmere Manor. The location is heavily guarded, but you can sneak in and collect the ring unnoticed.

Where to Find the Mark of Darkness Ring in Windmere Manor

There are two ways to enter Windmere Manor. Standing on the cliff north of the manor, inspect the building and notice the left window. That’s the first entry point into the manor.

Climb the building and open the window to get inside. Leave the room and follow the corridor to the left. Go through the first door on the left and enter the room. The Crimson Desert Mark of Darkness ring is inside the strongbox in the left corner of the room.

The second way to get into Windmere Manor will take you directly to the ring’s location. Go to the back of the manor and use Force Palm to land on the rooftop. Cross the rooftop and drop down on the balcony. Go through the door to enter the room with the ring.

To open the strongbox and collect the ring, you must solve a quick puzzle.

How to Solve the Mark of Darkness Ring Puzzle

Interact with the strongbox to access the Windmere Manor puzzle. The 3×3 grid is a scrambled image of a whale. You must rearrange the pieces to form the correct image.

Rotate the second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth pieces to reassemble the picture. Compared to other Crimson Desert puzzles, this one is very easy. Once the puzzle is complete, put on your mask, and open the chest inside the strongbox to collect the Mark of Darkness ring.
