In this Dragon Age: The Veilguard (DATV) Echoes of the Past Companion Quest guide, we’re covering one of Ballara’s first companion quests. During this quest, you and Ballara return to the Arlathan Forest to check on unstable artifacts in this area. Your goal is to help locate the crystals for Ballara. These crystals can be hard to locate. Read on to learn where each of them is located.
Location of First Set of Crystals in Echoes Of The Past Quest
For the first crystal, start at Bellara’s location. Turn around and go around the pillar. The crystal is straight ahead. Bring it back to Ballara before searching for the next one. Starting from the same position, turn around and go to the room adjacent to Ballara. The second crystal is right by the glowing ward.
Location of Second Set of Crystals In Echoes Of The Past
In the second area, you have to locate three crystals. From Ballara’s location, turn around and go to the stack of crates and barrels straight ahead. You can destroy the barrels or jump over them, but the first crystal is right behind them. Once you have it, bring it back to Ballara.
For the second crystal, go to the left of the pillar and go up the path next to the door. The crystal is located behind some broken rocks. Take it back to Ballara.
For the third crystal, turn around and go up the ladder on the right. The crystal is right at the top. You can drop down and place it in the final spot.
Location of Third Set of Crystals
In the final location, you have to find two more crystals. From Ballara’s location, go to the beam on the left and bash it. This will create a bridge for you to get across. Once on the other side, go up the ladder on your right and turn right. The crystal is straight ahead.
Instead of taking this crystal back to Ballara, you’re going to need it to get the next one. Return to the lower level and take the crystal to the holder on the far right side of the room. Placing it here will create a bridge to the second crystal. Once you have it, you can take both to Ballara.
