How to Romance Lucanis in (DATV) Dragon Age: The Veilguard
In order to romance Lucanis, you’ll have to do all his companion quests, which are Coffee with the Crows, Bloodbath, Inner Demons, and A Murder of Crows. During these quests, you will have flirtatious dialogue options to choose from to gradually progress the romance. You can also buy Lucanis a gift, an Antivan Tea Set, from the Crows merchant in Treviso.
Make sure to talk to Lucanis frequently in the Lighthouse between quests. You will come across timed interactions that will also progress the romance.
Which Dialogue Options to Choose
As a rule of thumb with Dragon Age games, if you want to romance someone then select the dialogue option with the heart. Below is a list of all the dialogue choices you should pick when trying to romance Lucanis.

| “It doesn’t change how I feel.” | In the Lighthouse immediately after having completed the Bloodbath companion quest. |
| “I was looking for you.” | This specific dialogue becomes available during the Inner Demons companion quest. |
| “We’re both just fine.” | This specific dialogue becomes available during the Inner Demons companion quest. |
Important Decisions
You will have to make some important decisions during the main quest and during the romance that can impact your relationship with Lucanis. One of the most important decisions happens after A Warden’s Best Friend main quest. After recruiting Davrin, you return to the Lighthouse to learn that both Minrathous and Treviso are being attacked. If you want to romance Lucanis, choose Treviso, his home.
The second most important decision comes after the Bloodbath companion quest. Speak to Lucanis in the Lighthouse. After dealing with Spite, select the dialogue option “I don’t mind.” to express romantic interest in Lucanis. While this doesn’t mean you’ve committed, you’ll finally see some romance blooming between the characters.
Lastly, you can choose to commit to an exclusive romance with Lucanis after the Inner Demons companion quest. Talk to Lucanis in the kitchen of the Lighthouse and pick the dialogue option “You’re sweet, you know.”
After that, you’ve committed to a relationship with him. There’s still one more companion quest to do and the romance will continue to unfold.
