In this Dragon Age: The Veilguard (DATV) How to Open the Warden Vault guide, we’re covering the Warden Vault side quest in Rivian. After meeting Taash, the Rivian area will be open for you to explore. One of the secrets you’ll uncover is a Warden Vault that requires you to light three different flames in front of shields around the Warden Fort to unlock the vault. Read on to learn where each one is located.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Warden Vault First Lock Location
To find the first lock, start from the Warden Vault. Go back up the stairs and go up the ladder straight ahead. To your right is a locked room with three small crests next to it and to the left an open doorway. Go through the open doorway and drop straight down. Turn around and go into the room behind you. Activate the torches in front of the crests and then return to the locked room above you. The room will now be unlocked and the first lock for the Warden Vault is on your right.
Warden Vault Second Lock Location
From the location of the first lock, leave the room and jump over the balcony on your right. Go straight and take the small door on your right. Uphead, you’ll find a skeleton with glowing butterflies over its head. Interact with it and a spirit will go through the wall. Now you will want to turn around and head back towards the direction you originally came. Go back up the ladder and out the door on your left. Go to the end of the broken balcony and you’ll see the glowing spirit on the ground on your right. Interact with it.
From this spot, turn around and go through the small doorway on your left. Go straight and turn right when you reach the smaller door. You’ll see the spirit again on your right. Interact with it again. Continue straight and turn right, going back into the main hall. Go to the very end, where you’ll see the spirit again. It’ll open the door to a secret room with the second lock.
Warden Vault Third Lock Location
From the location of the second lock, leave the room and take the doorway on your left. Follow the hall to the end, make a left, and then a right. Go down the stairs and continue straight before making another left. You’ll enter an open area with a small door on your right. Go through it and you’ll see a ruined building on your right. Approach it and look up. Rook can ignite the explosive barrel above, which will cause a ladder to drop. Go up the ladder and get the wisp.
If the wisp isn’t there yet, then you might need to discover the location of the third lock and come back for it. From this spot, turn around, go up the stairs on your left, go through the door on your left, and use Taash’s abilities to remove the crystals. At the end of the hall is a skeleton and a lever on the other side of a broken wall. Bring the wisp to the spot and the door next to you will open. The third lock is on the other side. Now you can return to the Warden Vault and collect the rewards.
