“Delicate Alliance” Quest in Skull and Bones

Game Guides Skull and Bones

After completing the “High Seas Heist” Skull and Bones quest and returning to Captain Scurlock, he’ll give you the “Delicate Alliance” quest. In the quest, you’ll need to disguise your ship as a Compagnie ship and attack a Fara settlement to ruin their potential alliance.

How to Disguise Your Ship as a Compagnie Ship for “Delicate Alliance”

While giving you the “Delicate Alliance” quest, Captain Spurlock will also give you the “Herald’s Honor” ship customization. To change your ship’s appearance, return to it by either holding “Z” outside of Scurlock’s office or walking to the deck and returning to the ship.

On the ship’s screen, select “Manage Ship”. In the next screen, select “Ship Cosmetics” and then the “Compagnie Cosmetics Set”. Select the “Herald’s Honor” in this set to turn your sails into those the Compagnie ships use.

How to Get to the Fara Settlement

The Fara settlement you need to plunder is located near the Royal Burial Grounds from the “High Seas Heist” quest. Fast traveling to the Royal Burial Grounds from Sainte-Anne will cost you 300 coins, but you can save money by sailing there as well.

From the Royal Burial Grounds, head to the north 1,000 meters to arrive at the settlement of Tanjona. It will be marked on the map with a quest marker, so you should be able to find it easily.

Plundering Tanjona for the “Delicate Alliance” Quest

When it comes to plundering the settlement of Tanjona, it will count for the quest whether you do it solo, with others, and whether you begin the plundering or not so long as you have the “Herald’s Honor” sails equipped.

Plundering the settlement comes in five waves. The first has a tower in the city to be destroyed as well as a single ship. I found it easiest to destroy the weapons firing at me from the settlement first, then the ship, and then the tower. This is because while the tower is more time-consuming to destroy, the ship poses more of a threat to you.

Each wave is followed by a small break to grab any loot that remains and then the wave after that. After the first wave, the next four waves will feature a combination of ships as the enemies. If other people have joined you in plundering, taking these ships down will be no trouble at all.

Once the final wave of enemies has been defeated, you’ll be given an item to take to Scurlock. Make sure to grab all of the remaining loot before heading off.

Turning in the “Delicate Alliance” Quest

To turn in the “Delicate Alliance” quest, you’ll need to return to Scurlock’s office in Sainte-Anne. The quickest way to get there would be to sail to the head to the “Royal Burial Grounds” and fast travel, just like you may have while traveling to Tanjona. However, you can also sail around either side of the island since the settlement is about at the midway point.

Enter Scurlock’s office and speak with him to give him the item from the quest and complete it. He will then have further additional quests for us to undertake.
