Dune Awakening Deep Desert is the end-game area. This is where you can engage in PvP, challenging PvE, and gather the most valuable resources.
Let’s see what you must know about this huge desert expanse!
Dune Awakening Deep Desert – Preparation
The area spreads over 576 square kilometers. It is a 9×9 grid with 81 tiles. The first half is the PvE area. The remaining rows make up the PvP zone.

The Deep Desert can be found towards the northwest of the World Map. You can go to the Deep Desert as soon as you have the Ornithopter unlocked
Gear and Items
You should wait venturing into the desert until you have Mk5 equipment. Mk5 Wings and Engine will prove useful for navigation. Mk5 armor and weapons are recommended for PvE.
These items will be of great help, so make sure to have them:
- Medium Vehicle Fuel Cells.
- Welding Torch and Welding Wire.
- Water. Drink water before entering the desert and carry a Literjon with you.
- Light and Heavy Darts.
- Respawn Beacon.
- Thumpers.
- Stilltent.
Dune Awakening Deep Desert Content
PvE

PvE players can test their skills in Imperial Testing Stations, Shipwrecks, and exploration objectives. The recommendation is to tackle these challenges with a group, preferably with guild members. You can clear some of the content on your own, but don’t expect to solo everything. The Testing Stations and Wrecks have high-end crafting materials that allow you to get Mk6 equipment and weapons. Unique schematics can also be found in these locations in rare loot chests.
PvP

In the PvP area, players are free to engage each other in combat. They can even raid their bases. PvP conflicts often break out over spice mining rights. When players die in the desert, they drop some of their items. That’s why it is not a good idea to harvest spice alone. Guild wars happen in the desert as well. Keep in mind that attacking players outside the PvP zone has consequences. The game has a reputation system that can restrict your interaction with vendors should you break the rules.
Resource Gathering

Players go to the desert to get Tier 7 crafting materials. Spice is another reason that attracts players to the desert. Just like other resources, you might find it in other areas, but only here can you find it in large quantities. Find a group and prepare accordingly for a large extracting operation if you want to walk away alive and with a nice supply of spice. Titanium Ore and Stravidium Mass are the crafting mats that allow you to obtain Plastanium Ingots. You will find plenty in the PvP side of the desert. The Coriolis Storm reset brings new loot each week. Some of these items may appear only once per week, making them extremely rare and unique.
The Deep Desert is a dynamic area whose face changes after the weekly Coriolis Storm. This is a reset that happens each Tuesday.
What happens after the weekly reset:
- Resource spots change location.
- All items and bases are destroyed.
- The PvE content resets, bringing new challenges.
