In Dune Awakening there is a total of five different classes in the game that you are able to play. Once you choose a class, that’s it. You are locked in but you can learn skills from other classes so there is always that!

List of Classes In Dune Awakening
There is a total of five classes in Dune Awakening with four of them being classes you get at the start of the game.
Swordmaster Class

The Swordmaster is the type of class that will bring you face to face with your opponents. The skill tree focuses on boosting sword damage, unlocking abilities to help you with combat, and tightening parry windows. Out of all the classes, this is probably the best for beginners.
The three skill tree branches include:
- The Blade – Increases damage and boosts aggressive attacks.
- The Will – Improves defense and helps you survive longer.
- The Way – Enhances stamina, movement, and adaptability.
The Mentat Class

The Mentat is an organization that focuses on processing and analysing data at speeds that would shock the normal person. This class is tied to tactical gameplay so if you enjoy this type of game play choose this class!
The three skill tree branches include:
- Mental Calculus – Increases precision and damage to weak spots.
- Assassination – Uses poisons, stuns, and quick kills on key targets.
- Tactician – Controls the fight with support, debuffs, and area tactics.
Bene Gesserit

The Bene Gesserit are basically the spies of the classes, able to strike from the shadows and excelling in manipulating others psychologically. This makes them quite the danger!
The three skill tree branches include:
- The Voice – Uses words to control, confuse, or freeze enemies.
- The Body – Boosts speed, agility, and reflexes to dodge and survive.
- The Mind – Sharpens awareness and mental defenses, giving strategic advantages.
Trooper

The Trooper class are soliders who are trained in war. They excell in ranged combat, explosives, and are great at dealing massive damage from a distance. This is great for those who enjoy PVP gameplay.
The three skill tree branches include:
- Gunnery – Boosts damage with all ranged weapons.
- Suspensor Training – Improves movement with dashes, anti-grav, and slows.
- Tactical Tech – Uses gadgets and gear to control the fight and stay mobile.
Planetologist

Planetologists are explorers with a love of science. Their class focuses heavily on exploring, gathering resources, and making vehicles as efficient as it can be! At this moment, this class needs to be locked through progressing through quests.
The three skill tree branches include:
- Mechanic – Enhances vehicles and boosts mining efficiency.
- Explorer – Aids travel, scanning, and surviving tough environments.
- Scientist – Improves tools, resource gains, and power management.
