Dune Awakening - How to find Buried Treasure

Dune Awakening has many surprises in store for you and one of those surprises is underneath the sand! Buried treasure in Dune Awakening is very useful because it gives you a chance at finding some awesome resources or even gear. Read on to learn how to do that.

How To Find Buried Treasure in Dune Awakening

To be able to spot the chests underneath the sand you need a scanner. it’s the only way to find the treasure. Either you can use the scanner on your sandbike or use the Handheld Resource Scanner. Either of these objects are going to help you to be able to find treasure.

To be able to get the handheld resource scanner, you need to complete the second Trial of Aql to get the schematic before making it. Meanwhile the sand bike scanner can be unlocked for a total of 5 intel points in the research menu.

You know you’ll see it when the treasure shaped box icon appears.

Collecting the Treasure

Now that you have located the treasure you need to be able to collect it. To collect it, you need to use a static compactor to dig into the sand to retrieve it. You can get the schematic by doing the second Trial of Aql. However, be warned that sandworms are highly attracted to the Static Compactor. So if one decides to appear after you decide to use this object don’t be surprised.

If you manage to a avoid the worm or if it never spawned, quickly hurry up and grab the chest which is now resting upon the sand. You can easily open it but be quick about it because a sandworm could still be out there somewhere lurking about.

And now you know how to get treasure in this game! Go forth and grab as much treasure as you can but make sure to avoid those sandworms because they are unforgiving!
