Something Unearthed is an Eternal Strands companion quest. Brynn has to perform a task for Sola, which involves smithing schematics and prototypes. Let’s see what this mission is all about and what you must do to complete it!
Eternal Strands – Something Unearthed Guide
This companion quest tasks Brynn with retrieving two items for Sola. Companion quests are side tasks that increase Brynn’s bond with the people in the camp.
How to Start Something Unearthed
You will unlock the side quest when you enter Dredger’s Mire. This area unlocks when you reach The Tapestry main quest at the end of Act 1. If you are not there yet, simply follow the campaign until you start the mission that gets you there. You can go on with the main quest and complete the side task later or you can return to the camp to finish the side quest first.
Something Unearthed Walkthrough
Go to the main camp and find Sola, the NPC you need to see for this quest. You can find her at her usual location in the camp. Interact with Sola and a cutscene featuring Sola and Dahm will play. You will also learn something about their personal lives. That’s not relevant for the side quest, but it’s a nice bit of lore you can discover.
Dahm wants to help Sola hone her crafting techniques. She is a skilled smith already, but Tamarkind blueprints will take her craft to a whole new level. She doesn’t know where to find any, so she asks for Brynn’s assistance.
How to Find the Tamarkind Smithing Techniques
There are two items Brynn must find for Sola:
- Smithing Schematics.
- Smithing Prototypes.
Here is where you need to go to find them.
Tamarkind Smithing Schematics
Take the loomgate (fast travel point) and make your way to Feller’s Arch in Glintwood Hollow. Go left of the loomgate and walk straight. The Schematics is behind the waterfall.
Tamarkind Smithing Prototypes
Go to The Sodden Pass. Make your way over the gap and look for the Tamarkind Engraved Plates inside the wooden building.
How to Complete the Quest
Once you have the two items, you can return to the camp. Talk to Sola and she will give you the blueprint for the Tamarkind Bascinet.
You need to craft it in order to finish the quest. If you don’t have the necessary materials yet, you can explore a bit more until you acquire them. Make sure you don’t forget to complete the mission, as a new side quest will unlock, Harvest Season.
