Fantasian Neo Dimension was first released back in 2021 for the mobile and iOS. It was then ported over to both console and PC in 2024. With the release of the home console and Windows version came new features, which are meant to provide a better experience for both longtime fans and those who are playing the game for the first time.
Whilst the main mechanics largely remain the same. It has been confirmed that the 2024 console and PC version won’t include any new story content, however, a bunch of improvements have still been made to other aspects of the highly popular RPG title. Fantasian Neo Dimension 2024 New Features and Improvements
The enhancement list includes the following:
- A new difficulty option, enabling a casual experience for relaxed players.
- New tracks from the Final Fantasy series, including the possibility of customizing the in-game soundtrack.
- A better graphics experience thanks to 4K resolution on PC and consoles.
- English and Japanese voice acting.
New Difficulty Option
Fantasian Neo Dimension comes with two difficulty options: Normal and Hard. The Normal difficulty is basically an easy (or easier than the original) mode, allowing players to enjoy a less intense game experience. The original game had challenging encounters with bosses that gave players a hard time. Not everyone is looking to wreck their brains trying to figure out a boss fight, so the enhanced version implements Normal mode for easier fights. Those looking for the unaltered challenge will be glad to know that Hard mode retains the difficulty of the primary game.
Final Fantasy Tracks and Custom Soundtrack
Thanks to the publishing agreement with Square Enix, Fantasian Neo Dimension benefits from the collaboration with Nobuo Uematsu, the composer behind the amazing Final Fantasy music. The original Fantasian soundtrack is expanded with the most popular tracks from several Final Fantasy titles, such as Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, and Final Fantasy XVI. Moreover, players can choose their favorite Final Fantasy songs to listen to during combat.
Fantasian Neo Dimension New Features – Improved Graphics and 4K Resolution
Fantasian Neo Dimension is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It enables players to enjoy the game no matter on which platform they play. The 2024 version also supports up to 4K resolution at 60 FPS on PC and current-generation consoles. This is a considerable visual bump, as the original game was an iOS exclusive that could not run at high resolutions. Note that the PlayStation 4 version does not have 4K support.
English and Japanese Voice Acting
The enhanced Fantasian version has English and Japanese voice-overs. Players will enjoy a better story immersion, thanks to full voice acting in all main cutscenes. The original game did not have this feature. Most of the side dialogues also benefit from voice acting. However, there are a couple of dialogues that are still text only. As long as the main journey has voice-acting, this is not a major concern. English and Japanese dubs are also available.
