The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Flowers on the Hill side quest is located in the Grasslands in Chapter 2. There will be a marker on your map by the same name as the quest. The building you need to find is to the left of where you first enter the Grasslands.
Chloe’s Request
You can find Chloe in the big red barn with the Chocobo symbol on it after talking to her brother, Billy. He’ll tell you she needs help and Chloe will tell Cloud and Aerith about her desire to pick flowers and make a flower crown, but that she’s had no time to do so. Aerith volunteers to find them for her, but she leaves the decision to Cloud. The player can pick from three dialogue options.
- “What happened to your parents?”
- “Ask your brother.”
- “We’ll take the job.”
By selecting “We’ll take the job,” you’ll start the Flowers from the Hill side quest.
Head to the Wildflower Plateau
A new prompt will appear, telling the player to head for the Wildflower Plateau. Chloe advises taking a Chocobo since it’s a good distance away. Take a Chocobo and head to the new marker on your map for the quest.
Once you reach the hill and the field of flowers, you’ll have to fight off some fiends called Mandragoras. They are not difficult to defeat, usually taking only a few hits, but there are a good number of them. Luckily, you also have Aerith, Tifa, Barret, and Red XIII by your side. You can use regular attacks or abilities, like Braver, Triple Slash, Focused Thrust, and Assess, to fight the fiends. You can also switch between your party members and utilize their abilities too.
Pick Flowers
Once the fiends have been defeated, a new prompt will appear and instruct you to pick three flowers based on the illustration of the flower crown that Chloe gave you, which will appear on the left side of your screen. The colors on the flower crown are yellow, red, and white.
Head over to the patch of yellow flowers, called yellow calendulas. When you walk into the middle of them and pick the corresponding button that appears in order to pick them, Aerith will ask you if you want to pick the flowers. You can choose between two dialogue options.
- “Yes.”
- “Lemme think on it.”
By selecting “Yes,” Cloud will pick the flowers. If you select “Lemme think on it,” then he won’t pick the flowers. In this case, for the yellow calendulas, you want to pick “Yes.”
Next, find the patch of red flowers called red gerbera and repeat the same steps to pick them.
Lastly, go to the patch of white flowers called white daisies and pick them too. Now, you’ll have all the flowers you need and a prompt will tell you to return to Chloe. You have the option to fast travel or take the Chocobos all the way back.
Rewards for Flowers from the Hill Side Quest
When you deliver the flowers, Chloe will be grateful but express her worries about not being good at making flower crowns. Aerith offers to help her make one and asks Cloud to make one as well. Once they’re done, Chloe gives the flower crown to her brother, Billy, and Cloud gives the one he made to Chloe.
Once you’ve completed the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Flowers on the Hill side quest, you’ll be rewarded with multiple items for this quest such as Telluric Scriptures Vol. 1, 3 Pearl Ginger Roots, and 3 Sprigs of Marjoram. Aerith will gain 10 SP while Cloud and Barret gain 5 each. Cloud gains 300 EXP and the entire party gains 10 EXP. Cloud’s relationship with Aerith will also deepen.
