The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth- Tides of War and Worry side quest can be found in the Junon Region during Chapter 12. Yuffie is your main companion during this side quest. This quest becomes available after arriving at Costa del Sol in Chapter 12.
A girl named Priscilla leaves a request on the noticeboard in the Junon region. She explains that the talk of war with Wutai has upset her and her friends. She wants to help them by doing something fun to get their mind off the possibility of an impending war.
Beginning the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth- Tides of War and Worry Side Quest
To begin the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth- Tides of War and Worry side quest, find Priscilla’s Request on the map in the Under Junon area. The young girl, Priscilla, is by the docks in the Dolphin Cove. She’s with a group of kids and they talk about the impending war that could potentially strike their home. The kids are worried that Junon is going to be hit first if a war starts.
Cloud is terrible at consoling them, so Yuffie tries to cheer them up. She notices the dolphins in the water behind the kids and suggests a dolphin show. Your new objective is to put on a dolphin show and the game will ask you if you wish to begin. You have two options.
- “Yes.”
- “No.”
Select “Yes” to continue the quest.
The Dolphin Show
There are three different ranks, each with its own target time and rewards. A chart in the top right corner displays the target time and prizes. Try to shoot for Rank III. Not only does it have the best reward, you also get all the rewards from ranks 1 and 2.

The dolphin show is similar to a race. Cloud is on the back of the dolphin and has to steer it around the course. Press R2 to drift. Arrows point in the direction you need to go and you have to hit the floating beach balls as you steer. Hitting certain balls boosts your speed. You can find your speed in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. You’ll occasionally come across platforms that you have to jump over as well.
There are four sections, similar to four laps in a race. For the best reward, you must complete all four seconds in under one minute and forty seconds. Unfortunately, you won’t get any rewards if you go over two minutes, but you can always try again if you’re not satisfied with your first attempt.

Putting on the dolphin show raises the kids’ morale and makes them forget about the possibility of war for the time being. Yuffie tries to convince the kids to give her orbs as payment for the show. They don’t have any and a few of them get mad since she is quite persistent.
Rewards for completing the Dolphin Show, if you got the best time, are an Elixir from Rank I, a chunk of Cosmotite Ore from Rank II, and three orbs of dark matter from Rank III.
You’re rewarded for completing the Tides of War and Worry side quest with 10 party EXP and EXP for Cloud. Your relationship with Yuffie deepens.
