Gothic Remake New Camp is one of the three factions you can join. You must complete a lengthy quest line if you want to unlock the Lowlife achievement.

How to Join the Gothic Remake New Camp Faction
Keep in mind that becoming a New Camp member will prevent you from joining the other two factions, Old Camp and Swamp Camp. If you decide to join this faction, you must first reach the camp’s location by starting the Admission to the New Camp quest. Then, you must complete five prerequisite quests:
- A Piece of the Pie.
- A Few Drops Too Much.
- Up to His Neck.
- Something the Matter?
- The Raid.
How to Get to the New Camp and Find Lares
Complete the Casting Shadows quest at the Old Camp and then complete quests from Thorus until he gives you the Out of Sight quest. You should also start the Test of Faith quest from Diego in the Old Camp. When interacting with Mordrag, ask him about the New Camp to trigger the introductory quest, Admission to the New Camp. Mordrag will then lead you to the Gothic Remake New Camp entrance and give you a ring. From the entrance, follow the path up the hill, and make a left after the bridge to reach a large cave.
Keep to the left and go up the stairs to meet Roscoe. If any guards happen to stop you, just show them the ring. Choose the “Mordrag sent me” dialogue option and Roscoe will agree to let you meet their leader, Lares.
How to Start and Complete A Piece of the Pie
Give the Mordrag’s ring to Lares to trigger the first Gothic Remake New Camp quest, A Piece of the Pie. Lares tasks you with bringing him 400 ore nuggets. Return to the base of the hill and interact with Baal Kagan to start the Canvassing Customers quest. Complete the quest and make your way to the tavern to meet Baal Isidro. Use the money you got from the Canvassing Customers quest to bribe the guards.
Talk to Baal Isidro and offer to help him sell the swamp weed. After he refuses your help, speak to the bartender Silas and buy some rice schnapps. Interact with Baal Isidro again to trigger The Herb Merchant quest. Complete this quest by selling the three items to bandits, mercenaries, or merchants. Malon, Silas, Sharky, and Cronos are the merchants who accept these items. Once you obtain 400 ore nuggets, hand them over to Lares.
How to Start and Complete A Few Drops Too Much
Make your way to the New Camp gate and talk to the Rice Lord to start the A Few Drops Too Much quest. Silas needs help with a quick task. You can beat up Rayk or persuade him to calm down. Both options work, so use the one you prefer.
Gothic Remake New Camp – How to Start and Complete Up to His Neck
The quest Up to His Neck starts from the Rice Lord as soon as you complete A Few Drops Too Much. Make sure to be polite when talking to Malon and you’ll learn that Bran went to a cave. Leave New Camp and head straight to reach the pond settlement. Make a right and you will spot Renyu, guarding the cave entrance. Enter the cave and give Jacko a beating to learn that Bran went to rob the tavern’s basement. Your next task is to return to the tavern and enter the basement. If you’re up to a lockpicking challenge, there’s a door behind Silas that leads to the basement. The alternative is to take the underwater entrance. Exit the tavern and go behind it to spot the pier. Go in the water and dive to discover a cave entrance. Follow the cave path and go up the stairs.
Interact with Bran’s body and read the note. Return to Silas, confront him, and return to the Rice Lord to complete the third Gothic Remake New Camp quest.
How to Start and Complete Something the Matter?
This quest is related to the Test of Faith quest from the Old Camp. Leave New Camp and go around the hill on the left to reach the Old Mine. Find Ian and obtain the supply list.
Return to Lares with the list to trigger the Something the Matter? quest. Return to the Old Camp and give the list to Diego. Go back to the New Camp and talk to Lares to complete this quest.
How to Start and Complete The Raid to Join the Gothic Remake New Camp Faction
Keep interacting with Lares until he mentions a special assignment. Pursue this dialogue option to trigger The Raid quest.
Interact with Gorn next to the cave entrance to receive a free sword. Head to the road between the New Camp and the Old Camp to discover the carriage. The raiders are waiting up the mound above the carriage. Sneak your way through and reach them. Distract the guards by telling them you are new to the Colony. You can safely use your weapons during the ambush. Talk to Wedge after the ambush and return to Lares to complete the Admission to the New Camp and unlock the Lowlife achievement.
