Gothic Remake The Lost Apprentice is a quest that requires you to find Caine. The mission takes you to a place called the Abandoned Mine.

How to Start and Complete Gothic Remake The Lost Apprentice Quest
The Lost Apprentice quest starts at the Swamp Camp. Go up the stairs and talk to the Templar.
Choose the “It’s about a recipe” dialogue line when prompted. Head inside the hut and talk to Cor Kalom to trigger the quest.
The Lost Apprentice – Investigate Caine’s Hut
The Templar suggests starting the investigation at Caine’s hut, near the weed mashers. Go down the stairs, turn right, and follow the path. When you reach the giant tree, make a left and cross the small bridge. Ask the Novice about Caine’s hut.
Enter the hut and collect the Drawing of the Abandoned Mine. Exit the hut, make a left, and ask Nyras about the drawing.
Nyras directs you to Lester. Cross the bridge and follow the left path to reach Lester.
Show him the drawing and he will tell you to search for Caine at the Abandoned Mine.
How to Find Gothic Remake Caine in the Abandoned Mine
From the Old Camp, cross the bridge and follow the path to the northeast to reach the Abandoned Mine.
Enter the cave and talk to Orry. Choose the “It’s official business” dialogue line and he’ll give you the mine key. Head past Orry and unlock the mine gate. Follow the train tracks to the left and cross the bridge.
The next part of the Gothic Remake The Lost Apprentice quest takes you deeper into the mine. Keep to the right and enter the tunnel on the left to reach the lake.
Dive and collect the Detached Winch. Resurface and swim towards the ladder on the other side.
Go up the ladder, turn left, and attach the winch to the mechanism. Use it to open the gate.
Jump in the water and go through the underwater gate. Follow the tracks to reach land. From the edge of the platform, plunge into the water, and swim against the currents until you reach land.
Defeat the molerat enemies and continue to reach another underground lake. Swim against the currents, following the underwater tracks. Go through the gate and keep going. You will eventually reach dry land.
Enter the building, defeat the enemy, and go up the stairs to find Caine’s location. Loot the corpses and return to Cor Kalom to end the Gothic Remake The Lost Apprentice quest.
