Gothic Remake The Templar’s Blade is a side quest that requires you to get a special weapon. Stone at the Old Camp wants a Templar sword. Let’s see what you must do to obtain the blade!
How to Start and Complete the Gothic Remake The Templar’s Blade Side Quest
The Templar’s Blade side quest becomes available in Chapter 2 once you can enter the Old Camp castle inner area and learn the one-hand smithing crafting skill. Huno, the Gothic Remake trainer who teaches this skill, can also be found in the Old Camp. Enter the Old Camp castle area and turn left to reach Stone’s forge.
Interact with Stone and learn the two-handed weapons smithing skill. Talk to Stone again and he will offer you the quest.
How to Get the Templar’s Blade
Stone tells you that one of the Templars has a special sword and asks you to bring it to him. Go to the Swamp Camp temple and talk to Gor Na Zar. You can find him sitting on the bench by the stairs on the left.
Gor Na Zar is the Templar who has the sword, but he is not willing to part with it. Explore all the dialogue lines until you have only two options: leave Gor Na Zar or fight him to get the sword. It would appear that you have no other choice than to take the Gothic Remake The Templar’s Blade by force. Attacking Gor Na Zar will anger the nearby NPCs, forcing you to kill them. Luckily, there’s another way to get the sword. If you’ve been paying attention to the dialogue, you know that Darrion forged Gor Na Zar’s sword. Exit the temple and follow the path to reach the Swamp Camp forge.
Darrion is willing to teach you how to make a war sword if you prove to him you’re a worthy blacksmith. He asks you to craft a light two-handed sword. Buy the schematics from Darrion and forge the weapon. Talk to Darrion and he will teach you the war sword recipe.
Missing ingredients can be bought from Darrion. Return to Stone at the Old Camp to wrap up the Gothic Remake The Templar’s Blade quest and receive 500 XP and 70 ore nuggets. Completing this quest unlocks the Forged Rivalries side quest from Darrion.
