Gothic Remake Grapes are a food item needed for Baloro’s Weapon side quest. Baloro is willing to part with his Stonecrusher mace if you bring him several foods. Let’s see what you must do to get the Stonecrusher!
Where to Find Gothic Remake Grapes and Complete Baloro’s Weapon Side Quest
You can start Baloro’s Weapon side quest in Chapter 1. Speak with Baloro at the Free Mine to trigger the quest that allows you to obtain the Stonecrusher, a one-handed blunt damage mace.
Baloro says he’ll give you the weapon in exchange for some food and drinks. The recommendation is to complete the quest as soon as you start it, as the Stonecrusher is a great early-game weapon.
Where to Find Grapes for Baloro
Baloro wants you to bring him:
- Apples x 5.
- Rice Schnapps x 2.
- Beer x 5.
- Loafs of Bread x 3.
- Cheese x 2.
- Grapes x 2.
All items, except for the grapes, can be bought from camp merchants or obtained as common loot. However, grapes are not that easy to come by. There are no merchants that sell Gothic Remake Grapes and you can only find them in a few locations.
New Mine
Sneak into Swiney’s house and lockpick his chest to find grapes.
New Camp
From the bridge that leads to the tavern, follow the path along the water to reach a camping location and collect the grapes from the table.
New Camp Cave Wolf’s House
Enter the cave and follow the path to the left. Go up the ramp, go past Buster, and enter Wolf’s house to find three grapes inside the chest.
Old Camp
You can find grapes in the castle kitchen.
New Camp Water Mages Headquarters
In Chapter 3, you gain access to the Water Mages hub. You can find grapes on the table in the main room.
Once you have all the items, return to Baloro and hand over the food. The quest will be marked as completed and you’ll receive 300 XP. It turns out that Baloro tricked you. He doesn’t want to give you the weapon, so you have no other option but to fight him. Once he is down, loot him to get the Stonecrusher and all the items he is carrying.
