The GreedFall 2 Ancient Sword is the item required for the To Take Back Is To Steal trophy. To unlock this achievement, you must find the Ancient Sword, give it to Furkan, and then get it back.

How to Find the GreedFall 2 Ancient Sword and Unlock the To Take Back Is To Steal Trophy
You will collect the Ancient Sword during The Mysterious Ruins side quest. Give the sword to Furkan and then retrieve it during Safia’s second quest, The One the Forest Mourns.
How to Start and Complete the Mysterious Ruins Side Quest
The Mysterious Ruins is a side quest you can complete during Doneigad’s Initiation main quest. To start the quest, you must explore the Seafarers Ruins area in the Lake Region.
Go up the stairs leading to the ruins and Sheda will try to stop you from exploring the place. Choose the “Reassure her about the ruins” dialogue option. You can also explore additional dialogue options with Sheda about the ruins. Continue up the stairs and defeat the bats. Approach the ruins and enter the restricted area. You have two options:
- Talk to the bandits and pass the diplomacy skill check.
- Defeat the bandits and take the explosives.
If you fail the skill check, you must collect the explosives yourself. The explosives are in a chest in the building with a hole in the wall. You can sneak in and collect the explosives unseen, but you will still engage the bandits when destroying the wall, so you should first clear the area.
If you pass the skill check, the bandits will destroy the wall for you. The alternative requires you to use the explosives on the wall to gain entry into the ruins.
Enter the ruins and explore the first section to collect the Red Spear Bracelets from the chest.
The next part of the quest will lead you deeper into the ruins. The path is linear, so you cannot get lost. Continue and you will eventually reach the GreedFall 2 Ancient Sword location.
Collect the sword and notice that the next part of the quest requires you to give the sword to a scholar or someone who can repair it. Go to Vigeshvar and give the Ancient Sword to Furkan to complete The Mysterious Ruins quest.
How to Unlock the To Take Back Is To Steal Trophy in GreedFall The Dying World
Continue with the main story until you must return to Teer Fradee. Before heading back to the island, complete Safia’s first companion quest, The Lost Friend. Return to Teer Fradee, speak to Safia to learn more about her relationship with Furkan, and start her second companion quest, The One the Forest Mourns. Proceed with the quest until you must investigate the storeroom.
Open the chest in the storeroom and find the Seasoned Armourer’s Saber inside. This is the GreedFall 2 Ancient Sword you found in the ruins. Collect the sword and you will unlock the To Take Back Is To Steal trophy achievement
