How to Romance Ludwig in GreedFall 2 The Dying World
After meeting Ludwig, he comes across as quite detached and doesn’t seem to want to get to know you. Throughout your travels, he opens up, and you learn he is a former soldier of the Deutan Empire, currently serving as a soldier. Play your cards right, and you can end up wooing him!
To do that you must, first, gain his approval. Which you can begin doing by completing his various side quests, which involve the Deutan Empire. As well as meeting him at various buildings, including inns.
Gaining Approval During Ludwig’s Specific Quests
Ludwig has three quests or favors he will ask for help with. Certain choices will help you grow your bond with him.
- Quest One: When Joseph confronts you, don’t tell him anything. While you’re confronting the Nauts, let Ludwig handle it rather than handling it yourself.
- Quest Two: Stop Ludwig from chasing the general.
- Quest Three: Go through the quest/favor. When you have the option to speak with the Duchess, tell her Van Stross is dead. Don’t lie about his death.
Conversation Approval for Ludwig
There will be times when you can speak to Ludwig at inns and on the ship. Make sure you check in regularly with him because this can also help grow your bond.
- Conversation One: Ludwig will mention that he doesn’t intend to join for that long. You need to respond that you’re surviving just like him.
- Conversation Two: On the ship, during one of your conversations with Ludwig, you can ask why he stayed with you instead of leaving. After he speaks, tell him you appreciate his altruism.
- Conversation Three: When you can ask Ludwig about visiting the island, tell him that your duty calls you elsewhere when that option comes up.
- Conversation Four: Tell Ludwig that it doesn’t matter as long as he is with you when he asks what you plan to do.
Eventually, you will be given the option to invite him to your cabin. Invite him and then confess your feelings for the soldier turned smuggler.
