Hades 2 Romance Icarus Guide

Romancing Icarus can take a long time because his interactions are not guaranteed to occur. To begin the romance path, you need to first unlock the Surface. Melinoe will then start to meet him. The first time he appears is in the Rift of Thessaly.

Romance Bond

Just like all other characters you can romance, Icarus requires certain gifts. You need to make 14 offerings, meaning that you will need:

  • Nectar x 5.
  • Ambrosia x 4.
  • Bath Salts x 2.
  • Fishing Lure x 1.
  • Ectoplasmic Draught x 1.

As you develop your bond with him, you can ask him to visit the Crossroads. Look for him in the garden near Hades’ statue. He will not be there every time, but keep checking the location. He may also appear on the Surface. To unlock his second heart, you must use the Daedelus’ Hammer and complete interactions on the Surface until he tells you the truth about the hammers. Once the second heart unlocks, keep using the hammers. After 13 offerings, speak to him until he mentions the Ectoplasmic Draught. You will also unlock the Nightlife for the Dead Incantation, which requires two Shaderoots and one Shadow. Shaderoot is a resource found in Tartarus. Shadow is a crafted item for which you need 30 Ash, 30 Psyche, and 6 F-Fabric.

Hades 2 Romance Icarus Ectoplasmic Draught

Give him the Draught, and the next time you meet him at the Crossroads, he will have a heart symbol above his head, meaning he is ready for the romance scene. Engage with him and savor the intimate interaction.
