How to Get the Sajuuk-Khar Achievement in Homeworld 3

Homeworld 3

Homeworld 3 players get the Sajuuk-Khar achievement after reuniting Imogen and the rest of the Khar-Kushan with Karan and the Khar-Sajuuk. I’ll walk you through the 11th campaign mission in Homeworld 3 to teach you how to get the Sajuuk-Khar achievement.

Homeworld 3 Mission 11 Walkthrough for the Sajuuk-Khar Achievement

The Mission to find Karan and explore the Khar-Sajuuk in Homeworld 3 occurs in three waves. First, you’ll send a Resource Controller to explore the Khar-Sajuuk while sending Recon ships to detect enemies in five different areas. The second and third sections of the mission will involve you taking on two different waves of enemies.

Resource Controllers and Recon

The mission starts with two objectives. Complete the second objective by sending one Resource Controller to the position on the Khar-Sajuuk marked “Hanger 1”. At the same time, send the rest of the Resource Controllers out to gather materials to produce more ships.

Next, begin sending out Recon Ships to explore the five marked areas. If you don’t have any, you’ll have plenty of time to gather materials and produce some. I recommend just sending a few to each point so that you can spend materials on new attack ships.

After all of the Recons have reached their points, two separate Carrier Groups will spawn.

Attack by Two Carrier Groups

These two Carrier Groups will spawn at the far end of the ice shelf. Each group contains two Carriers, several Destroyers, frigates, and any other ships spawned by the Carriers. When you take them on, you’ll want to use a variety of ships to counter the different Incarnate ships you’ll be facing.

Choose one of the Carrier Groups to take on first. I chose to fight the rightmost group, attacking them with several Destroyers as well as all kinds of Frigates and Strikecraft. I strongly recommend attaching Support Frigates to your Destroyers to help them survive against the enemy’s capital ships while fighting them. At this time, you’ll also receive an optional objective to place turrets around your Mothership. You’ll want to make and place plenty of turrets to help you defend against missiles in the next wave of enemies.

A Carrier Group is only considered “destroyed” when every last ship from that group has been eliminated. After you do so, the objective will update to confirm you have destroyed one out of the two available Carrier Groups. Begin moving your ships over to the second Carrier Group to take them on as well. If you find yourself running out of Capital Ships like Destroyers, I would highly recommend bringing a Resource Controller with you to capture an enemy Destroyer.

In this area, repeat the fighting process all over again. Capture any Destroyers you want while focusing on taking out the Carriers. Like the previous group, this one will only be considered “destroyed” when every last ship is eliminated. If you want to delay the next wave so you can gather resources to prepare, leave one or two of the Incarnate Distortion Corvettes alone. They won’t do any damage and can easily be destroyed when you’re ready to take on the next wave.

Attack by Two Battlecruisers

When all of the Carrier Group ships have been eliminated, two Battlecruisers will travel through hyperspace into the area. They will be in similar areas as the earlier Carrier Groups.

You’ll unlock the Battlecruiser research around the same time the enemy Battlecruisers come into view. Make sure to research it as soon as you can.

Additionally, with the arrival of the Battlecruiser comes dangerous missiles directed at your Mothership. Each will need to be shot down by either turrets or your ships before it reaches your ship. When the Mothership is hit by a missile, it loses somewhere between one-fourth and one-fifth of its health. Thankfully, each missile will be announced both audibly and visually with a white symbol to prevent you from missing it.

When a missile is coming in, the best thing to do is to tactically pause and aim all of the turrets at the missile. They’ll wipe it out quickly and efficiently. Ships can be used as well, but they take time to turn around and aim that can be the difference between saving your Mothership and watching it blow up.

While attacking these missiles, you’ll need to destroy both Battlecruisers. Start by sending most of your fleet at one Battlecruiser to take it out. At the same time, send one Destroyer and a few other ships to the other Battlecruiser. Their attacks will prevent it from marching up to your Mothership while you destroy the first. When the first Battlecruiser is destroyed, send the troops that attacked it over to the second Battlecruiser to take it out.

After both of the Battlecruisers are destroyed, the only thing left to do is clean up the rest of the Incarnate Fleet.

You will have successfully defended the Khar-Sajuuk once the rest of the Incarnate ships are destroyed. You’ll earn the “The Sajuuk-Khar” achievement at this point in time as well. If it doesn’t pop up immediately, it will appear during the following cinematic.
