Most of Homeworld 3’s achievements come from completing missions and tasks in its campaign mode. Not Today, Singularity! is an exception because it comes from the Skirmish game mode. I’ll show you what you need to do to get the achievement and provide you with a few tips for success.
The Requirements for the Not Today, Singularity! Achievement in Homeworld 3
There are a few requirements you’ll need to meet to get the Not Today, Singularity! achievement in Homeworld 3. The first is that you must be playing in the Skirmish game mode. The button to create your own is located on the bottom right corner of the game’s homescreen.

Next, you’ll need to add in at least 3 AI opponents when creating the match. I suggest only adding the minimum three opponents to make the game a bit easier. Make sure to select a map that allows at least 4 players. I chose “Busan Ice Shelf”.

Additionally, if you only want to get the achievement you can set the bots to “easy”. This will make the game finish quicker and feel less challenging.

The last condition you need to fulfill to get the achievement is to win the match. Make sure to pay attention to the win condition chosen while creating the map. The typical way to win is by destroying all of the enemy Motherships in the match.

Tips for Defeating AI Opponents in a Skirmish Match
The following tips will help you stay a step ahead of your enemies in this Skirmish match.
Start Resource Gathering Early
Those with the most resources will have the best luck in Skirmishes. Send off Resource Controllers and craft new ones immediately at the start of the game.

Do Reconnaissance Early
If you want to defeat your enemy, you’ll need to know exactly where they are. Use Recon ships and Probes to scour the area around you and take note of where your enemies have begun. The AI opponents will do this as well, so doing it too will help even the odds.

Pick off Weaker Opponents and Take Their Share of the Resources
If the resource-filled area is already home to a Mothership, that doesn’t mean you have to just walk away. If you have the resources, take them out and begin looting the area for yourself. Just make sure to use Support Brigates to heal the ships that can’t be docked to keep them going. Losing too many ships in a fight could be the end of your win streak.

Capture Opponent Ships to Save Resources
If you need ships but don’t have the material, just borrow your enemies’ ships! You’ll need to research an upgrade for your Resource Controller to do this, so make sure to do your research consistently.

Speed is Key
Generally, speed is the name of the game in Skirmish. This is especially true when playing against AI opponents as they will begin making their moves as soon as the match begins. Unlike the Campaign mode, you won’t be able to pause and come up with your next move. Gather information and make your decisions quickly to obtain victory.
