Nothing Short of Miraculous is a unique achievement in Homeworld 3 because it requires you to take too long to complete one of the missions. I’ll guide you through the process of starting the Nothing Short of Miraculous achievement in Homeworld 3. I’ll also give you a few tips to help you survive the tough fight that stands in your path.
How to Take on Incarnate Reinforcements
The Nothing Short of Miraculous achievement in Homeworld 3 requires players to annihilate the Incarnate Reinforcement fleet in Mission 10 of the campaign. Ordinarily, the goal of this mission is to sneak through the ice shelf without being discovered. You’ll also typically do it fast enough to avoid coming into contact with Incarnate reinforcements. However, in this playthrough your only focus is to decimate every Incarnate ship that comes after you.

In this mission, the countdown for the arrival of Incarnate reinforcements begins as soon as the player’s ships are spotted. I recommend starting by using some of your Resource Controllers to grab the Salvage near your Mothership’s starting position.

Afterward, go ahead and take out the first Incarnate Sensor. While usually you would send less troops, go ahead and send enough to clear out the area. While you do this, move one or two Resource Controllers to gather the materials available in this area. Don’t forget to upgrade your Strikecraft and bring Support Frigates with you, as doing both will keep your ships up longer to save materials you may need later. The Incarnate Reinforcement counter will start around this time.

Additionally, make sure to unlock the Destroyer when you have collected enough resources to do so. Capital ships like Carriers and Destroyers will be mandatory for the fight against the Incarnate Reinforcement fleet.

After clearing out the enemies at the first Sensor, regroup and heal up your ships. I recommend building at least one Carrier at this time. Next, you’re going to want to take down the other three Sensors so that you can safely move your Mothership to the back of the ice shelf. Make sure to keep your Mothership undetected to prevent enemy forces from spawning early. If you are detected, the enemy Reinforcement Fleet will spawn directly above your Mothership, making for a much harder battle.

For the best odds of survival, you’re going to want to destroy all of the Sensors and get the Mothership as close to the Fissure as possible. This is because the Reinforcement fleet will come in the same area you spawned in. In the campaign’s Medium difficulty, the Reinforcement Fleet will contain the following ships:
- 3 Battlecruisers
- 4 Destroyers
- 4 Smart Missile Frigates
It’s a lot of firepower, enough to wipe out your Mothership in less than 30 seconds. It’s an extremely difficult fight you need to prepare yourself well for.

Tips for Completing the Nothing Short of Miraculous Achievement
These are some of the things that helped me defeat the Reinforcement Fleet. Before implementing these, I lost to the Incarnate Reinforcements three times.
Salvage Enemy Ships before Reinforcements Arrive
Gathering materials is extremely important before the Incarnate reinforcements arrive. You’ll need enough to craft turrets and ships, especially Destroyers of your own. Make sure to Salvage deposits around the map as well as Salvage left by destroyed Incarnate ships.

Position Your Mothership in the Back
I didn’t realize the Incarnate Reinforcements would come behind me the first time I faced them, so my Mothership was easily overwhelmed. Position your Mothership in the back of the ice shelf to up your odds of survival.

Lay Mines and Place Turrets
The Reinforcement fleet is going to be high-powered and heavily armored. Your best strategy for survival is to damage them as much as possible whenever possible. Turrets and mines are a great and sustainable way to do this.

Capture Enemy Capital Ships
The Incarnate Fleet is filled with Destroyers that can do a lot of damage to you. While taking them down one-by-one is an option, I recommend taking it a step further and capturing a ship to convert it to one of your own! This is most easily done with Incarnate ships that are isolated from the rest of their fleet. All you’ll need to do is assign a Resource Controller the task of capturing the specific ship. It will drag the ship down to your Mothership, where it will be turned into a member of your fleet. Just be cautious to not lead enemy ships to your Mothership and to protect the Resource Controller from damage.
