In this Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak Bounty in the Waterworks Quest guide, we’re explaining how to find the Southern Octo and complete the quest. Cid will give you this quest in Chapter 2: Bright Star of the Dazzling City. Bounty in the Waterworks is a required quest and you’re rewarded for completing it with 2,000 Mira. Read on to learn more about navigating the Seiden Waterworks and finding the Southern Octo.
Beginning the Bounty in the Waterworks Quest
Cid has received reports of a dangerous monster in the Seidel Waterworks location. The monster is a Southern Octo. Cid is requesting that Arkride Solutions handle the monster immediately.
After picking up the quest, go to the Seiden District. The fastest way to get there is to open your travel map, go to Seiden District, then select Subway Entrance. After the cutscene plays and you’re given control again, traverse the subway. Begin by going straight and turning right. There will be a small enemy there for you to defeat. It’s weak and should die in a few hits.
Keep following the path and cross the metal bridge on the left. There are three more enemies for you to defeat. There are also crates that you can destroy and chests lying around the subway that offer loot, so keep an eye out for those.
Cross the second bridge, go straight, and defeat the other enemies along the way. There are six before you reach the big one. The enemies get harder as you go.
Make Your Way Through the Subway
Once this enemy is defeated, there is a gate on the right side of the room. One melee hit is enough to break it and get to the chest on the other side. After that, go across the bridge and down the stairs. Follow the path and go across the next bridge. Turn left and there are three frog-like enemies to defeat. Go across the bridge to the left of them.
Defeat all the enemies in that area. To get to the chest on the other side of the gate, go right and follow the path. You’ll come across a smaller gate that you can attack and break.
Defeat the Southern Octo
Follow the path to the end of the hall and cross the bridge on your right. You’ll find a closed door with a Charging Station device next to it. You can use it to Recover HP/EP before facing the Southern Octo. The boss is on the other side of the doors. The Southern Octo drops a Vitality Droplet after it’s killed.
