All Stats in Megabonk and how they work

Megabonk

In Megabonk, it’s all about finding the right stats. There’s HP, Armor, Crit, Projectile Count, Size, Lifesteal, and many more. In fact, there are around 30 stats in the game, and if you’re new to Megabonk, RPGs, or video games in general, it might be tough to understand these terms. So, with that in mind, here’s how every stat works in Megabonk.

Megabonk stats explained

Understanding what each stat does helps in building better setups, for the early to late game. Here’s how they work.

Megabonk comes with a total of 28 different characters stats
  1. Armor: Armor blocks a portion of incoming damage, which means you’ll receive less HP loss.
  2. Attack Speed: Refers to how quickly a champion performs basic attacks. With higher Attack Speed, you’ll fire more projectiles or perform more attacks over time.
  3. Crit Chance: The percentage chance that an attack will deal bonus damage. Good if you have high crit damage.
  4. Crit Damage: Crit Damage refers to how much extra damage a critical strike deals. The higher the Crit Damage, the greater the bonus damage will be.
  5. Damage: Damage refers to how much health an enemy loses when hit by an attack, ability, or effect.
  6. Damage to Elites: In Megabonk, this stat refers to the extra damage you deal when fighting against elite enemies.
  7. Duration: Duration refers to how long an effect lasts once it’s applied.
  8. Evasion: Percentage chance that you can completely dodge or evade an attack. Unlike armor, evading an attack means receiving no damage.
  9. Extra Jumps: The number of times you can jump again after casting jump. Useful when trying to reach high places or jumping over enemies to avoid getting trapped by them.
  10. Gold Gain: Increases the amount of gold you receive over time.
  11. HP Regen: A higher HP Regen value means your health will restore faster without needing healing items or abilities.
  12. Jump Height: Jump Height refers to how high a character can leap off the ground.
  13. Knockback: Allows you to push the enemies when hit. Good for survivability. Note that if you have high knockback, you may have to chase them as well, which can be disadvantageous if you’re a melee character.
  14. Lifesteal: Gains a particular amount of health after attacking an enemy. This is particularly useful when trying to survive against a large swarm of enemies, or a huge boss, especially if you don’t have any sustain tomes or items.
  15. Luck: This determines the likelihood of obtaining high-rarity upgrades and items. The higher the value, the greater the chances.
  16. Max HP: The amount of health that you currently have.
  17. Movement Speed: Movement Speed refers to how fast a character can move across the map
  18. Overheal: In Megabonk, Overheal refers to the amount of healing received beyond your maximum HP.
  19. Pickup Range: Extends the range at which XP and other collectibles can be gathered. This is especially useful when speedrunning, as it allows collecting XP shards without having to move close to them.
  20. Powerup Drop Chance: Increases the chance of receiving a powerup, such as healing, shield, magnet and more.
  21. Powerup Multiplier: Increases the effect of powerups. For instance, you receive higher healing from heal (heart) powerups.
  22. Projectile Bounces: The number of times your projectile bounces.
  23. Projectile Count: The number of projectiles you have based on your weapon. One of my favorite stats to upgrade, as it allows you to shoot more projectiles. (This works for Aegis!)
  24. Projectile Speed: Determines the speed at which projectiles move after being fired.
  25. Shield: Allows you to have a secondary health bar. This regenerates after getting out of combat.
  26. Size: No, it does not increase the size of your character. Instead, it increases the size of your weapon or projectile, allowing them to cover more area, hence hitting more enemies.
  27. Silver Gain: Allows you to get more Silver Coins. Good for farming Silver Coins, but it is less reliable in increasing your damage output or improving survivability.
  28. XP Gain: Certainly one of the most important stats in Megabonk, and I recommend upgrading this especially in higher tiers. Higher XP gain means you’ll level up faster, which will give you a bunch of upgrades. Great for late game!
