Metaphor ReFantazio – A Guiding Gift (Side Quest)

A Guiding Gift is one of the Metaphor ReFantazio side quests you can complete on Virga Island. Your main mission takes you to the Dragon Temple in search of Princess Eupha. Before making your way to the temple, take a moment and interact with the villager in need.

How to Start Metaphor ReFantazio A Guiding Gift

After reaching Virga Island, look for the quest giver NPC. It’s the Hoarse Fisher-Crone. She is standing next to the Inn Well. Open up the dialogue and listen to her plea. She tells you she had three Polar Stones, but lost them in the Dragon Temple. The Crone asks you to retrieve at least one stone, but the reward will be worthwhile if you go out of your way to collect them all.

Take note that you must complete this quest before August 30th. If you miss the deadline, the quest is no longer available. A Guiding Gift is one of the mandatory quests for the Help Everyone in Need trophy. If you want to obtain the trophy in one playthrough, you shouldn’t miss this one.

How to Complete Metaphor ReFantazio A Guiding Gift

The quest seems like a simple delivery mission, however, the stones’ locations are not marked on the map. Here is where you need to go.

Travel to the Dragon Temple via the Gauntlet Runner. Before proceeding into the temple, you need to slay the Treebeast Alanto. This is the boss that guides the temple entrance.

Once the guardian is down, you are free to adventure into the Dragon Temple. Pay attention to the black shadow that takes over your screen. This means that you are not going in the right way. When the screen starts going black, do not advance any further. If you do, you will be returned to the last mural. Now let’s see where the Polar Stones are hiding.

How to Find the Three Stones

First Polar Stone Location

Make a right as you enter and notice some vases on the ground. The Polar Stone is next to them.

Second Polar Stone Location

Continue your incursion into the Dragon Temple and you will come across the Labyrinthine Path. Make a left and check the railing for the second stone.

Third Stone Location

Open the map and notice the map marker in the middle. The third stone is in the same room where the marker points. Find the stairs that take you to the temple’s main area. Notice the left and right paths. Take the left path. You will find the third stone near the Gargoyle statues.

A Guiding Gift Rewards

After you have collected the three Polar Stones, return to the Hoarse Fisher-Crone on Virga Island. Only one stone is enough to finish the quest, but the reward is better should you deliver all three of them.
