Superior Scrimshaw is a side quest in Metaphor ReFantazio that requires you to reach the Forsaken Tower and collect the Ebony Horn. Let’s see everything there is to know about this hunt!
How to Begin the Metaphor ReFantazio Superior Scrimshaw Hunt
You can complete this side quest towards the end of July. Travel to Port Brilehaven and go to the Merchants Bazaar. Find the Craftsman to the north of the Galeo Swordshop. Interact with him and he will give you the task to defeat Orgas. This enemy is in the Forsaken Tower. You will have to travel north of Port Brilehaven to get there. Take note that the trip takes three days. Check out if you have any deadlines before heading to the quest location.
You can obtain quest intel from the Informant at The Greatest Catch Inn. This tavern is in the Angler’s Inn Square. Find Vulpes and buy the Fiend of the Forsaken Tower note for 1800 Reeve. When you are ready to start the quest, go to the Gauntlet Runner and use the Round Table to reach the Forsaken Tower.
Metaphor ReFantazio Superior Scrimshaw Walkthrough
You will have to climb the Forsaken Tower all the way to the seventh floor to reach your target.
The First Floor
After you enter the Forsaken Tower, go left and take the stairs to reach the first floor. Defeat the Goborn creatures as you encounter them. When you run into the Potolpos, make sure to dodge the purple areas to avoid considerable damage. The chest is actually a mimic. Prepare for a fight before interacting with it. You can also leave it be and continue on your way to the second floor.
The Second Floor
The enemies on the second floor are the same as the ones on the first floor. Gallica’s Fae Sight helps you spot dangerous chests. If they have a red outline, they are enemies. If the outline is white, there’s a treasure inside. Clear the second floor and advance to the third floor.
The Third Floor
Pass through the double doors and you will reach a room with two crystals. Try to take the crystals down as soon as you can as they summon monsters. You can return to the hallway for a short break from the fight. Clear this room and take the stairs up after you go through the double doors.
The Fourth Floor
Two Orgo enemies wait for you as you reach the fourth floor. You can avoid the fight by running past them. If you decide to enter combat, make sure to use Dark attacks.
The Fifth Floor
Go through the double doors and enter a room with two Orgos and many Potolpos. You can stay and fight or make a run for the sixth floor.
The Sixth Floor
Here, you will find a crystal similar to the one on the third floor. Destroy it and climb the stairs to get to the next level where you will find the boss. Save your game and get ready to face the final boss in the Forsaken Tower.
How to Defeat Orgas and Complete Superior Scrimshaw
Orgas has level 38. He is susceptible to Dark damage, so you should have a Thief or other Dark Archetypes in your party. The boss mostly uses Physical attacks. Charge is the most dangerous ability. The boss empowers himself to do more damage on its next turn. Use Guard to protect your party mates from the damage. You should debuff Orgas and buff your Evasion and Hit Rate. War Cry is a debuff that lowers your defense and attack. Earsplitting Shriek may cause the Daze effect.
Your priorities for this encounter are to keep your HP up, use Guard to counterattack Charge, and debuff the boss.
After defeating Orgas you will receive:
- 3450 XP.
- 1500 MAG.
- 1294 A-XP.
- 1300 Reeve.
- Ogre’s Fists.
- Strength White Mask.
Return with the Ebony Horn to the Craftsman and complete the quest for 25000 Reeve and a Courage bump.
