Metaphor ReFantazio The New King of the Imps is one of the bounty side quests you can complete between the main missions. Do you have what it takes to lay waste to the Goborn King?
How to Begin the Metaphor ReFantazio The New King of the Imps Bounty
This quest becomes available after June 29th. Visit any Recruitment Center and take the Goborn King, Forest Champion bounty. Seeing that the quest objective is close to Martira, you can pick up the bounty from the Center in Thoroughfare Square.
The quest objective is to kill the Goborn King. You will find the target in the Imp’s Den. Once you accept the bounty, the Imp’s Den location will be added to the map. Use the Gauntlet Runner to travel there. Go to the Strategy Room and access the Round Table. Look east of Martira and notice the Imp’s Den on the map. Select the den to reach the destination. The trip takes one day. If you have other tasks that require urgent attention, you should postpone this bounty because it doesn’t have a deadline.

You will start by killing six Hexter Goborn Esto foes. They are all over the Imp’s Den. You need to take these down to summon the Goborn King. These minions do magic attacks. They are not susceptible to any type of damage. You should have no trouble slaying them. Don’t take any Mages in your party as, they cause the Goborns to use Frenzy attacks.
How to Kill the Goborn King
The Goborn King has minions with him. They take priority over the boss. The minions are Goborn Archers, Hexers, Manhunters, and normal. These lesser mobs don’t put much of a fight. Once they are down, you can concentrate on the boss.
The Goborn King doesn’t have any particular weaknesses. His attacks are mostly Physical. Some of them hit pretty hard, but you can heal up with medicines. The attack that deserves attention is the Dark Sword move which puts Forget on its target. The Charge ability allows the boss to do more damage on its next turn.
Keep attacking the boss and remember to heal whenever you take too much damage. Buff your stats and use consumables when needed. The boss does not have any special ability, so you should make quick work of him.
The reward for taking down the Goborn King includes:
- 1200 XP.
- 874 MAG.
- 591 A-EXP.
- 1630 Reeve.
- Scrapmetal Slab weapon.
The boss also drops the Imp’s Loincloth. This is the item that you need to hand in back at the Recruitment Center to finish the quest and collect the grand reward: 16000 Reeve and a Courage increase.
