How to Complete Shai of Sheparden in Monster Hunter Stories 3

After completing Gale Force Porkers proceed and talk with Thea at the Sheparden Base to start the quest. Head to the northern area of Sheparden (it should be marked on your map) and speak with Shai’s mother. She will mention Shai has left and has gone to Mt. Canalta.

This means your next step is to go to Mt. Canalta to go look for Shai. Head to the lookout point and go to the area that is marked on the map. A brief conversation will ensue between you and Shai. Find Bullet Bacon, a member of the Gale Force Porkers.

Yes, we’re back to them again, which means there is going to be another race!

Beating the Bullet Bacon

Bullet Bacon will be north of where you currently are. Just check the map for the exact spot. When you find the pig, there will be a cutscene before the race starts. It’s similar to the first race where you want to avoid the purple mushrooms because they will slow you down. You want to get the red mushrooms to speed up and help win the race.

Avoid the obstacles and, as we mentioned, the purple mushrooms. Provided you manage to win the race, you will speak with Thea to close out the quest. Finishing the side story gets you a Hunting Thorn for Thea, and the Stealthy Passive Skill for Kagachi.
