Dual element system used a mix of habitat restoration and ecosystem rank. First, you need to raise the ecosystem of an area. Once monsters hatch from eggs, release them into the area you are currently in. As the habitat is restored, you have a chance to obtain better eggs in the area.
With the ecosystem rank raised and the habitat restored, you can move towards the next step. This is hatching eggs in an area that doesn’t have the same element. One monster has the element of thunder. However, if you decide to hatch it an area where fire is the regional element. The Monstie is going to end up with a dual element system based. Their appearance depends on their original element and the element of the location where they hatch.
Because of the dual element system, Monsties that hatch will not have the same appearance as their counterparts. They will end up looking different and even come with new skills they are able to gain. Basically, the monsters are going to be mutated from their counterparts.
Keep in mind that you can’t change the secondary element once the monster has taken one. Once a monster hatches with dual elements, that’s it so make sure you choose wisely. This is a very unique feature to this new Monster Hunter game, enabling you to basically mix and match. Who knows what you could end up with!
