GreedFall 2 Factions – Who Rules Gacane?

GreedFall 2 Factions are the organizations you will meet while adventuring in Gacane. Six factions have established themselves as the most influential groups.

GreedFall 2 The Dying World Factions Introduction

The six factions are:

• The Nauts.
  
• The Congregation of Merchants.
  
• The Coin Guard.
  
• Theleme.
  
• The Deutan Empire.
  
• The Bridge Alliance.
  

While players cannot pledge allegiance to a specific faction, they will interact with members of all organizations, making friends, allies, and enemies.

The Nauts – A Seafaring Organization

An organization of seamen and shipwrights, the Nauts dedicate their lives to navigation. Once accepted into the faction, members cut their connection with the past and live by a new code. The Nauts wear distinctive facial tattoos and have their own secret language. The Nauts have established their headquarters on the island of Uxantis. Only members and esteemed guests may visit this secluded location. Uxantis houses the largest naval library and the Great Shipyard, the place where the Nauts build their superior vessels. The Nauts keep to themselves, however, they are an influential political organization.

The Congregation of Merchants – Masters of Trade

An organization of traders, the Congregation of Merchants has two major ruling families: the d’Orsay and the de Vespe. The d’Orsay clan comes from the city of Serene and has great authority in the Congregation. The de Vespe family comes from the ancient city of Peren. They will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. The Congregation of Merchants is a neutral organization willing to deal with anyone who can afford their services.

GreedFall 2 Factions The Coin Guard – A Mercenary Company

After the War of Independence ended, the mercenaries who took part in the conflict joined forces and founded the Coin Guard. They have built bases all over Gacane, but they can also be found in the cities. The Coin Guard trains their members with military discipline, however, they also deal with less honorable activities, such as gambling and secret fight clubs. The organization tries to maintain a neutral position, but their members serve as bodyguards and soldiers for the most influential groups.

Theleme – A Religious Organization

Founded by Saint Matheus, Theleme is a religious organization whose members worship one god, the Enlightened. Theleme is ruled by priest-mages, talented individuals with magic capabilities and unshaken faith. Two sub-factions have distinguished themselves within this organization: Ordo Luminis and the missionaries. Orgo Luminis are religious zealots who oppose all those who don’t share their beliefs. The missionaries are diplomats who seek to convert others to their religion.

The Deutan Empire – A Land at War

The Deutan Empire is now a land torn by conflict. The civil war between the Originalists Matheists and the Carminists divided the nation. One group, the Originalists Matheists supports the old religious ways instilled by the Theleme, while the opposing alliance, the Carminists, seek a new order. The Deutan Empire is also at war with the Bridge Alliance. The Theleme is fighting against the Bridge Alliance on the borders of the empire.

GreedFall 2 Factions The Bridge Alliance – Three Nations United by Science

Thynea, Thraxis, and Morsinia nations joined forces to create the Bridge Alliance, an organization that opposes Theleme’s expansionism. Members of the three nations form the governing authority, the Alliance Council. Through mutual collaboration, the Bridge Alliance enjoys significant economic, cultural, and scientific progress. The capital city, Al Saad, is home to the most respected universities. Although the Bridge Alliance’s original purpose was to stop Theleme’s imperialism, they also seek to establish dominance over other nations.
