How to Complete a Rocky Side Quest in Monster Hunter Stories 3 Twisted Reflection

First interact with Kora while you are at Azuria Castle. You’ll have to sit through a cut scene with her before you can go and explore a cave nearby. The cave can be found by going to the Broadleaf Basin lookout point. Once you find it (by traveling to the yellow exclamation point), a cut scene will trigger.

The cave is pretty easy to navigate as long as you follow the path that is lined with the red crystals. When you first enter, keep straight. On the second fork in the road, then turn right. You’ll take another sharp right before taking a left at the final fork in the road.

This isn’t to say you can’t explore the rest of the cave and fight the other monsties. Eventually, you will end up at a dead end of the path where there is a sleeping Gypceros which is the monstie you need to fight to finish this quest.

Defeating the Gypceros

After a cutscene, you’ll engage in the fight with the Gypceros. It is weak to fire and ice, but resistant to thunder and water. While it’s in it’s normal state, use speed attacks, but use power attacks when it becomes enraged.

The monstie does have a poison and flash attack which can blind your allies, so be wary of this move! After defeating the Gypceros, you will get a big barrel bomb recipe, sonic bomb recipe, and flash bomb recipe.
