One way to help keep up your health and stamina is by cooking meals and grilling meats in (MHWI) Monster Hunter Wilds. This isn’t even getting into the buffs that certain meals can give you!
By cooking meals you can unlock the Was It A Meal To Remember? trophy achievement. Which unlocks after you have cooked over the BBQ grill for the first time.
Read on to learn about how to cook and grill!
How to Cook in Monster Hunter Wilds

There are two ways to start cooking some meals in Monster Hunter WIlds. Either you cook a meal from inside your tent or from a portable BBQ gril which is a nice addition! You’ll find three options for cooking. One of these options is the Recommended Meal, which is basically what the game recommends, Custom Meal where the decision is in your hands, and Favorite Meals where you add meals to the quick selection.
Then comes the ingredients! Meals are filled with three different ingredients. Rations is one (meat, fish, veggies), additional ingredients, and finally finishing touches. You get buffs with making meals but if you want to make the buff last longer, consider adding additional ingredients. It can help the buffs last longer.
Keep in mind you only get benefits from one meal at a time so don’t resort to gluttony. It won’t work.
How to Get your Grill On!

A great addition to MHWI is the ability to grill meat! This isn’t the same as a meat ration. You’re grilling with raw meat. The end result can give you a Rare Steak (restores health and stamina as well as increases max health), Well done steaks (restores health and stamina), and burnt meat which just restores stamina.
To grill meat (which has to be done in the wilds) make sure you have raw meat. Then you can start grilling by pressing the X/A button. Make sure you hit the button on time and not too early. At the same time, if you leave it on too long then you get burnt meat.
