As players explore the Minato district in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, they will come across Apsaras, a mystical figure who tasks them with a compelling mission. Apsaras asks the protagonist to defeat the enigmatic Leanan Sidhe, who resides in the nearby Shiba Park. This is also connected to the, alternative quest, The Water Nymph
Siding With Apsaras or Leanan Sidhe In Spirit Of Love Quest
The Spirit of Love subquest presents players with a crucial decision – they must choose whether to side with Apsaras or Leanan Sidhe. This choice is mutually exclusive, meaning that players can only complete one of the two quests. Regardless of what side you choose to stick with you will be forced into a boss fight.
Siding With Apsaras
If you choose to obey Apsaras you will be thrown into a boss fight against Leanan Sidhe and Ippon-Datara. Which can be a tricky fight considering Leanan can use the Mudo skill, which has a chance of instantly killing a target. Equipping a Dark Dampener is recommended.
If you spare Apsaras she will mention that Leanan Sidhe purposely manipulates the weak into believing in their dreams. However, in reality, they are actually used as a source of nourishment.
Leanan will simply vanish. Our rewards will be x2 Health Incense and Apsaras joining our party. She is level 16 and uses ice based attacks. Such as Bufu and Mabufu. She is also of the Neutral – Law.
Choosing To Side With Leanan Sidhe
To be able to side with Leanan Sidhe you will need to first collect the quest from Apsaras and do as she commands in order to, then, meet up with Leanan. Here we can diversify. Though it will require us to fight and defeat Apsaras as she realises the betrayal.
Our rewards for siding with Leanan will be x2 Stamina Incense, she will also join our party. Her abilities include Marin Karin, Curse Siphon and Mudo.
By siding with Leanan Sidhe you will also unlock and complete the alternative quest, The Water Nymph. Which is only available by siding with her.
