Solasta: Crown Of The Magister features quite a few different side quests and of which are often put into their own category.

We have the Main Story QuestsSecondary or Side Quests and of course the basic Tutorial Quests. These can also be unlocked by talking to various different NPC and continuing through the main story. You can then view the quest and the quest’s description through the Journal

For this specific page we will be focusing on the Explore The Ruined Tower – Main Quest. This particular quest involves trying to obtain a Sorak’s head

  • QUEST NAME: Explore The Ruined Tower
  • QUEST TYPE: Main Quest
  • ACT / CHAPTER: Act 1 – The Adventure Begins!
  • LOCATION: The Ruined Tower
  • QUEST GIVER: Story related. Unmissable
  • PREREQUISITE: First Mission Accomplished
  • NEXT QUEST: Report to the Council
  • REWARDS: Principality of Masgarth +5, Crown of the Magister Trophy Achievement
  • GUIDE:
  • Head to the Possible Sorak Base in order to please the council by bringing back a Sorak’s head
  • This quest will also trigger the Quest for Information side quest
  • As you come to the entrance of the Ruined Tower you will notice a bunch of human workers, sadly they are not friendly and you will end up initiating a fight with them
  • After the fight we can now enter the tower
  • When you enter the tower continue along the linear path and feel free to open the treasure chest here, it should contain a Torch x10, Ration Pouch x3, Antitoxin and a Scroll of Comprehend Languages
  • There will also be an Unknown Human nearby too, you can speak to him to get some more information but he doesn’t really say much
  • If you go into ‘Caution Mode’ you should be able to detect footprints, lets follow them.
  • Push the boulder next to the wall in order to reveal a spot in which you can climb through
  • Here we should notice blue air currents and next to it yet another boulder, go ahead and push this boulder into the current in order to form a pathway for ourselves to jump cross
  • As you continue on we will soon find ourselves in a library
  • Okay we are now in a fork we can either go left or right, lets start off by going right first we will be coming back here anyway
  • Push the boulder here into the current so we can get across and reach the door we need to open, we will also notice a somewhat magical ball here too.
  • Inspect the magical ball in order to learn that the door is locked and won’t open, bummer!
  • Oh well lets head back to the doorway once again, I did say we would be back remember?
  • This time at the fork we will want to head left
  • Head down the ladder to reach the lower platform and then use the following set of ladders to climb back up once again
  • We will now get a small scene showing the air current and boulders, like we didn’t already know about them before..
  • Jump through and over the air current here since there are now boulders to push and the air current has no effect on us
  • Then follow the path around and we will come to our next boulder
  • We will need to push this boulder in order to gain access to the ladders and the lower platform here
  • Then push the next boulder that you come to on the lower platform, this will give us a pathway to access back on the top platform
  • Now climb back up and make your way to the statue here and continue on past it
  • Continue North in order to reach 2 pillars that we can push and form bridges from them, use the nearby ladders in order to push the lower pillar
  • Now as you cross these newly formed pillar bridges make sure to activate the ‘Caution Mode’ in order to spot a nearby hidden trap
  • Your party will now mentioned spiders as you come across what seems to be a spider’s egg, regardless lets now worry about that now. Instead use the nearby ladders to once again get back to the lower platform
  • Jump over the gap here to notice yet another boulder, you should know what to do at this point
  • Now climb back up to the top platform and make your way over to the statue
  • Well, we all saw this coming didn’t we? As you make your way to the statue you should then be attacked by a group of spiders, deal with them
  • Head past the statue now and jump to the platform on the left, we will now arrive at yet another pillar that we can push, do so.
  • We will now have a path back to the locked door from before, however it is still locked so it’s completely useless going that way right now
  • Instead lets continue on and we will witness a scene involving magical circles on the ground
  • We basically want to find these magical circles and activate them by standing in them, we will now have to solve a Magic Runes Puzzle
  • Start off by standing in the magical circle that we just triggered during the scene
  • Head down the ladders from the first rune circle and then go ahead and push the boulder on the small platform to the right
  • Pushing this boulder will reveal another magical rune for us to stand in and activate
  • You can then clearly spot the other 2 runes, there is one very noticeable rune circle to the South and another one on the lower platform
  • Now after activating all of those go ahead and stand next to the Magical Orb, which will get more vibrant with each rune activated.
  • Now the doors should open and we can finally proceed
  • After passing through the doors you will spot a campfire, feel free to rest as we have a large wave of enemies to play with in a bit
  • After going through the next set of doors you will now be up against a bunch of Sorak that you will need to defeat
  • After defeating the Sorak go ahead and inspect the mechanism in the middle of the room to find a mysterious magical Crown
  • The quest will then end when you return back to Caer Cyflen, you can escape the tower by using the map ‘M’ key and fast travelling to areas you previously visited
  • (NOTE: The Crown of the Magister can actually revive a fallen ally for 1 minute after death)

QUEST LOG

  • EXPLORE THE AREA
  • You located the tower you were told about. Use caution and try to find proof of the Sorak’s existence
  • FIND OUT WHAT THE WORKERS ARE DOING
  • You have reached the mysterious tower. Workers are stabilising a tunnel beneath it. Find out who they are, what they are doing, and if they are linked to Sorak activity
  • ENTER THE EXCAVATION SITE
  • Something is obviously wrong here. Head down into the excavation – and be ready for anything!
  • CONTINUE EXPLORING
  • The workers have gone to a lot of trouble to get into this ruined tower. Find out how far they got.
  • FOLLOW THE LIGHT
  • Magical torches light up when you approach. Follow them and find out what this is about
  • FIND A WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR
  • You’ve reached a massive door in this weird room, but the magical spherical system that opens it doesn’t seem to be working. Look around the room and find a way to open the door.
  • ACTIVATE THE ORB
  • After lighting up all of the runes, you saw a magical orb appear. Activate it
  • ACTIVATE THE FOURTH RUNE
  • Find and activate the rune
  • You found and activated the rune
  • ACTIVATE THE THIRD RUNE
  • Find and activate the rune
  • You found and activated the rune
  • ACTIVATE THE SECOND RUNE
  • Find and activate the rune
  • You found and activated the rune
  • ACTIVATE THE FIRST RUNE
  • Find and activate the rune
  • You found and activated the rune
  • EXIT THE LIBRARY
  • You found the exit to the weird library. Keep exploring – the Soraks can’t be far away!
  • KILL THE SORAKS
  • You have vanquished the Soraks! You have your proof – but what is the artefact they were guarding?
  • SEIZE THE ARTEFACT
  • You have taken the crown that the Soraks were guarding
  • BRING BACK THE CROWN
  • You have completed your quest. The Soraks are real, you have your proof. What’s more, you have taken possession of something they wanted to protect. Take the Crown to the Council for examination.
  • You have returned to Caer Cyflen with the Crown
