The True Moon is an achievement in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown that requires you to tackle the Moon Gatherer Side Quest. This is easily one of the most enjoyable achievements to unlock in the entire game, and it has one of the most interesting story narratives for you to explore. This guide will show you how to complete the Moon Gatherer side quest, and in turn, unlock the True Moon achievement.

Complete the Moon Gatherer’s Quest
To complete the True Moon achievement, you must complete the Moon Gather’s quest. This is one of the game’s nine-side quests and involves the story of a prisoner who wants to return the moon to its place in the sky.
The True Moon trophy achievement is worth 30 points/a silver trophy. You’ll need to unlock it to 100% complete the game. Interestingly, by completing this achievement, you’ll also make progress towards others such as Charitable Soul, which requires you to complete every side quest in the game.
How to Complete the True Moon
To complete the True Moon achievement, you first need to activate the Moon Gatherer side quest. To do this, head to the prison. You can do this manually, but the easiest way is to get caught and sent to prison.
Once you’re in the prison, work your way West. You will need to take out a good handful of enemies on the way, so make sure you’re prepared. Eventually, you’ll come across a huge room filled with Mad Alchemists who will try to kill you. Take them out and then walk through the small corridor at the end of the room.
Continue down this pathway, and you will come across a breakable wooden wall. Breaking it will reveal the Moon Gatherer sitting in a small room. Interact with him, and he will tell you that the moon has been broken into four pieces and you need to fix it. And just like that, you’ll have activated the Moon Gatherer side quest and be a step closer to completing the True Moon achievement!
Moon Locations
To complete this side quest, and in turn, unlock the True Moon achievement, you need to save the Moon Gatherer and find four moons in four separate locations.
The True Moon Location #1
To find the first moon location, head to The Depths, to the chamber just above the room marked with a claw. Follow the rightmost pathway, and you will eventually drop into a room that’s full of sludge.
You’ll need to get rid of this sludge by pulling down two switches located on opposite sides of the room. When the sludge disappears, you’ll be able to see a small round door. Head through it to find to find the Moon Gatherer.
Location #2
The second Moon you need to find for the True Moon achievement is located in the Sunken Harbor. Simply head to the room with the broken ship- it’s just next to the Pirate Village fast travel point.
Take the right path at the end of the room, and you’ll come across a Wak-Wak tree. Drop into the room below, and you’ll be confronted by two crabs protecting the next moon. Defeat them to save the Moon Gatherer.
The True Moon Location #3
To find the third moon for The True Moon achievement, head to the Pit of Eternals Sands, and travel to the massive room marked by a city skyline. Walk to the middle of the area, and you’ll come across a small path.
Take the path and eventually, you’ll be able to see a breakable wall. Break the wall and take the leftmost path, before breaking the huge set of pots to the left to free the Moon Gathter for the third time.
Location #4
The last location required to complete the True Moon trophy achievement is in the Tower of Silence.
Go to the room marked by the two falling rocks, and follow the sloping path that heads down. You’ll come across a few grave keeper enemies that you’ll need to kill to free the Moon Gatherer.
Once you’ve done this, talk to the Moon Gatherer and he’ll thank you for your work and then disappear. Shortly after, you will unlock the True Moon achievement!
