Collect 5 Ores

To complete Natural Resources, you need to collect five different ores. Currently, there are only two types of ore in the game. One is a ‘raw ore’ that you will find during the ‘Ancient Power Unearthed Quest’. The other type of ore is a ‘Damascus Ingot’. You can find these in different hidden chests across the map. These ingots can be used to upgrade your gear, to make you a more formidable opponent on the battlefield.

Once you collect five ores, you will complete the Natural Resources achievement and earn 20 points/a bronze trophy depending on the console you play on. Luckily this achievement is unmissable. In fact, you can even pick it up after you complete the story.

How to Complete Natural Resources

The first ore that you’ll want to pick up when completing Natural Resources is the Raw Ore. To find this, simply initiate the Ancient Power Unearthed Quest. From here, the location of the ore will be displayed to you on your map. Finish the quest to make sure the ore counts toward your achievement progress. You’ll also earn a Shield of Mithra Amulet as a reward, which is a nice bonus.

Once you’ve picked up the raw ore, you can move on to finding four Damascus Ingots to complete Natural Resources. There are actually dozens of Damascus Ingots located around the map. However, here are four of the easiest to find:

  • Damascus Ingot #1. Found in the training area of The Haven. Simply wait until you unlock the double jump ability, and then use it to collect the Ingot.
  • Damascus Ingot #2. Found in the Lower City. Head to the Eastern Section, to the Scholars’ area, then use your Chakram to teleport through the iron gate. You should find an ingot waiting for you.
  • Damascus Ingot #3. Found within the Pit of Eternal Sands. First head to the Wak-Wak tree near the room with the large city decorations. Then drop under the tree and you should find the Ingot.
  • Damascus Ingot #4. You’ll find the last ingot needed to complete Natural Resources in the Sacred Archives. Head to the shifting staircase, and parkour your way up to the top. You should see a sealed room. Face the room and it will open. Then just walk in and collect your ingot!

Once you collect the last Damascus Ingot, you’ll unlock the Natural Resources achievement and earn a few more points toward 100% game completion.

Tips on Completing Natural Resources

As you can see, Natural Resources isn’t exactly the hardest achievement to complete in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, especially compared to others like Tools of a Prophet. Nevertheless, here are a few tips that will make your life even easier when hunting this achievement:

  • Keep your Eyes Peeled for Chests. Damasus Ingots are exclusively found in the loot chests dotted around the map. Therefore, while you’re travelling around the map, you should open every single chest you see. You might just get lucky and find an ingot hidden inside one!
  • Use the Ingots. Natural resources doesn’t require you to have five ingots at any one time. Rather, it just requires that you collect them. As such, it’s a good idea to use your ingots to upgrade your sword and bow. You’ll be surprised at just how much more damage your weapons will do with a few upgrades. It’ll also make completing the story missions and various side-quests that little bit easier.
  • Hunt Multiple Achievements. Finally, it’s a good idea to hunt multiple achievements as you’re searching for the Damascus Ingots. As you explore every nook and cranny of the map, you’re bound to find a Soma Tree Petal or Amulet lying around. Picking these up as and when you find them will make 100% completing Prince of Persia so much easier.
