Another series of quests in Wuthering Waves, also known as a quest-chain, is the Silver-Haired Echo Trainer. Here you will learn how to upgrade and tune your Echoes. This is a great quest for those wanting to learn more about Echoes and their capabilities. This includes 3 quests in total, such as Silver-Haired Echo Trainer I, II and, of course III
Silver-Haired Echo Trainer- I
To begin the first Silver-Haired Echo Trainer side quest in Wuthering Waves, go to Jinzhou and speak to Grandpa Jingzhu, an old man who insists on capturing Echoes. After speaking to him, you’ll meet him by Rearguard Base.
There, you’ll have to defeat three creatures called Havoc Warriors. The best way to defeat them is to quickly switch between your characters and deal as much damage as possible. Once you’ve defeated them, you’ll unlock a new Echo named after the enemy you just defeated, the Havoc Warrior.
The Havoc Warrior Echo allows you to transform into a Havoc Warrior to continuously deal Havoc Damage.
After doing this, your next objective is in Tacet Fields, where you may run into some enemies on the way. Talk to Jingzhu once you get there. Next, you’ll equip Echoes accordingly to make a 2-piece set. Directions to do this appear on screen and vary per platform. Open the Resonators menu via the menu wheel and follow the instructions to trigger the Sonata effect.
Once you’ve done this, talk to Jingzhu, who wants to practice his opening lines, back in Jinzhou. You’ll need to equip a projector to display the absorbed Echoes. Press the options button, or open your menu, and select Utilities in the upper right-hand corner. Select the projector on the bottom left side, where you can create a shortcut for it on the Utility wheel. Use the shortcut to project the Echo and ask Linghan for her thoughts. Talk to Jingzhu after to end the quest.
Silver-Haired Echo Trainer- II
Talk to Jingzhu again to start the second part of the Silver-Haired Echo Trainer quest. He’ll tell you to go to instructor Yhan’s Training Grounds nearby and complete the simulation called Seal Tube. Talk to Yhan to begin this simulation. Once inside, your first challenge is to defeat 7 enemies in 300 seconds or less. At any point, you can yield and the instructions to do so are on the left side of the screen, but you cannot continue the quest if you do this. You must complete it.
Once you’ve successfully beaten the first challenge, return to Jingzhu and you’ll learn how to upgrade your Echo to a Level 15.
To upgrade your Echo to a Level 15, press the options button or go to your Resonator Menu. Go down to Echo and select an Echo on the right side. This will open all Echo but select the one you wish to upgrade. You can auto-select which Upgrade Consumptions you want to use. Once done, press the button to upgrade and confirm. After listening to Jingzhu’s past and visiting Linghan, you’ll have finished the second part of the quest.
Silver-Haired Echo Trainer- III
Meet with Jingzhu and go to Tacet Fields after speaking with him. Once you’re there, you’ll have to defeat three Tacet Discords. Talk to Jingzhu and you’ll learn how to Tune an Echo in the Echoes interface.
To do this, go to the Resonators menu and down to Echos. Select the Echo you want to upgrade. If it hasn’t already been upgraded to +5, then you’ll have to do this before tuning. Once Echo Tuning is unlocked, select it. You’ll need 10 Tuning Materials and 500 coins. Tuning the Echo increases its attack power.
After doing this, Jingzhu suggests going to Linghan’s place but, much to your surprise, she isn’t there. Your new objective is to ask the neighbors about her location. They are marked by blue icons. There are two nearby, and once you’ve spoken to them, your new objective is to go to a nearby cave to find Linghan.
In the cave are three Tacet Discords and once they’re defeated you can talk to Linghan. She’ll ask you to pick up a Noctemint Flower. They’re marked on your screen and there is a bouquet right next to the group. Pick it up and give it to Jingzhu. Meet Linghan back at her house in Jinzhou to finish the quest.
