Finding the Exils’ Gear In Secret Investigation
The Wuthering Waves Secret Investigation Quest marker is to the west of Lake Heights. Speak to Qianshan to learn more about what’s happening in the area. Qianshan suspects that the Exils are smuggling weapons. He asks for your help.
Your next objective is to collect the Exile’s Top and Bottom to complete the gear you need to wear. Both gear items are on your map near Lake Deerslumber. The Exils’ Top is in a tent by the river. There are two enemies guarding it. Once you defeat them, you can pick them up from one of the baskets. The Exils’ bottoms are nearby. They are in a basket next to crates and shelves. You’ll have to fight two more enemies guarding the area to get the bottoms. There are also two enemies guarding this area you’ll have to defeated. The bottoms are in a basket.
Answers to Questions in Secret Investigation
Once you’ve collected them, find Qianshan to discuss your plans, which is to use a fake identity to infiltrate the Exil camp. Read about your persona, about Qiao Sheng, and the Camp Member Standing. Once done, Qianshan will ask you a couple of questions.
Question 1: What did the mother of Qiao Sheng and Qiao Yang do for a living?
Answer: Teacher
Question 2: What was the reason for the injury on Wiso Sheng’s right leg?
Answer: Attempted Shoplifting
Question 3: What does Kuixiao, a friend of Qiao Sheng’s at the camp, like doing?
Answer: Studying Technologies
Beginning Infiltration in Secret Investigation

When starting your investigation of the Exil camp, Qianshan warns you about the dogs patrolling the area. They are marked by a black diamond with an eye over their heads. There is one along the path to the guard you need to speak to, who is marked by a purple marker.
When the guards mention you weren’t supposed to arrive until next week, select the dialogue option: “Couldn’t make any money at Jinzhou. I grew tired of waiting.” They tell you no one is allowed to enter without a pass. Your new objective is to head to the upper level of camp for details of the weapons transport. Qianshan tells you to go to Kuixiao’s place and find his terminal.
Head to the right of the guards, towards the lake, and keep an eye out for dogs. You’ll find a set of stairs and an elevator on your left. Follow the walkway to the top. You’ll have to distract Kuixiao in order to use the terminal.
When he says “Sending a freshman to get me?” Select the dialogue option: “Zaijia just said he needed your help on something.”
When he asks if you prefer hot food, like Qiao Sheng, select the option: (Wait for Qianshan’s response) or “Both of us are not fans of hot food.”
Once Kuixiao leaves, check the information on the terminal that was behind him. Next head to the lower level of the camp.
Secret Investigation Side Quest Conclusion
Retrace your steps back down the elevator and go left. Talk to the guards marked by the purple marker and select “I’m Qiao Yang” when they ask who you are. The guard moves and you can walk into the camp. Go to the marker and destroy the pole. The Exil leader will move from his spot and you can sneak inside to get information from his terminal.
You’re caught by Xiyun, who knows your identity. When she brings up the Public Security Bureau sending you there, select the option: “What Public Security Bureau? I’m wronged.” As they talk, Xiyun discovers she has been given false information and that Qiao Sheng is a traitor. Once the conversation ends, your cover is blown and you’re attacked by Exils and their reinforcements. Report to Qianshan once you’ve escaped.
