(FNAF) Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach – Freddy & Gregory Statue (Funko) Unboxing Review

Reviews Unboxing Product Reviews

Well just shortly after I successfully managed to complete the (FNAF) Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach game and here we are with a brand new statue.

This is an unboxing review of the new (FNAF) Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach statue that features both Freddy and Gregory. It was originally released back in May 11th, 2021 and is among one of the first Five Nights At Freddy’s statues to be made by the team at Funko

This statue is part of a collection that saw the other statue consist of both Vanessa and Vanny. Both statues were originally set to release on March 11th, 2021 until they got delayed. They were both officially released on May 11th, 2021.

In Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach you play as a young kid named Gregory who has somehow managed to get himself locked inside the Freddy Pizzaplex Mall. He now must survive until 6AM, when the doors open once again and he can finally leave. However, things are not going to be easy for him.

The game itself is very much different from the previous entries in the Five Nights At Freddy’s series. This time we get to move and explore the mall, whilst in the past entries we were unable to explore and, in stead, we were stuck in a fixed position. Also, whilst the past entries relied more on puzzle solving, this particular title requires more of a strategic approach and a sense of urgency.

We recently did a review on the game and if you would like to read it, then be sure to follow the link seen here

As you can see the box that the statue comes in looks rather nice, featuring both Freddy and Gregory artwork alongside the Security Breach logo itself.

This particular statue is really hard to get hold of right now, unlike the other Vanessa and Vanny statue which I have seen quite a bit of recently. Speaking of which I do plan on getting that version too and currently have it on pre-order from a site that claims to be getting their shipment in soon. However, the Freddy and Gregory version is completely sold out and I consider myself lucky to have come across it.

I was a bit worried when I first purchased this as it said it was being dispatched by Hermes, which has quite a reputation over the past few years. A rather negative reputation, unfortunately. So I personally don’t like using them myself. However, I knew I had little choice due to the statue being completely sold out. So I decided to take the chance.

Thankfully the chance was well taken as the parcel came and the box was in good condition. In fact the statue also came well packaged too, thankfully.

As you can see from the above pictures, the statue looks great! It features Gregory riding inside Freddy, which is something that happens in the game, and depending on the gamer, it can happen a lot too. Basically Freddy plays the good guy in Security Breach for a change, as usually he plays the villain.

The detail and effort is really nice and very much noticed. With Vanny looking very menacing as she approaches both Gregory and Freddy, who remain unaware of her presence. I like that the colours on Vanny goes from a mix of light grey and dark, just like how it is in the game and her whiskers are adorable.

Freddy’s face looks much better than its originally released model, by this I mean that this particular version is a newer and updated version of the statue. The original statue which was released, and later classed as a release error, showed Freddy without the marks on his cheeks, basically his mask was not fully finished. This version however, you can see the mask is finished and the cheeks represent the finished and updated version. The eyes also look a bit off but on closer inspection they seem fine. I mean in the game he does seem to have eyes that roll around a lot, being an animatronic and such.

Gregory also looks nice too, very snug inside his hero, Freddy. Unlike in the game where you can see some of Freddy’s mechanical parts, this statue does not represent any of that, instead it is simply hollow. Perhaps it would of been nice if they did add mechanical features, to show more of Freddy’s animatronic side but in reality I’m not sure if there would of been room for it to be fair. Gregory does seem to be quite a big boy ha!

I look that it include Freddy’s little top hat, which he has had in many of the previous titles in the series. In fact he has had it for so long now, that in my opinion, he isn’t Freddy without it.

I also like the attention and detail on the wall, that it has cracks on it to represent that it is a damaged wall, as seen from the pipes sticking out of it.

Overall the statue is about 12” in height and thus is quite big. However, it isn’t too heavy, at least not for me and compared to some other statues of mine, feels more like I’m holding a feather in comparison.

There are some minor mistakes on the statue that I did notice and that being a strange, what looks like a burn mark, on one of Freddy’s legs. I originally thought it was dirt but I cannot get it off and on closer inspection it looks like some kind of burn. Either that or a painting issue.

Speaking of paint issues, there is a very small blob of white paint on the base just by Vanny. Its small but noticeable. As though paint had dripped and something the team themselves failed to notice.

Other than that though, the statue looks great, all its missing is the Vanny and Vanessa version, which will be arriving soon.
