In this Black Myth: Wukong How to Defeat Earth Wolf guide, we’re going over how to find and defeat one of Chapter 2’s bosses. Earth Wolf is an optional miniboss whose spirit you can obtain and use later in battle.
Where To Find Earth Wolf In Black Myth Wukong
You can find Earth Wolf pretty early on in the second chapter in the Yellow Wind Ridge area. Go pass the Village Entrance Shrine in the Sandgate Village area. There is a large gate with archers around it, blocking your path. There is a road to the right that you can take that circles the area. You’ll come across an entrance guarded by a Rat Governor and Rat Archer. The boss is on the other side.
Earth Wolf’s Attack Pattern
Earth Wolf has multiple quick attacks that can do a lot of damage, on top of the fact that he can sometimes catch fire. He has four main moves for you to memorize and avoid. The first one is a leap attack, where he’ll jump into the air and slam his head into you. It’s important to time this dodge right and wait until he’s coming down to dodge. He also has a lunging bite, where he’ll snap at you twice. When he does this, dodge to the left or right.
A good chance to get a few hits in happens when he does a short pounce. If you dodge on time, it takes a moment for the enemy to regain its bearings and you can attack here. Next, he will charge and tackle you. When you see him raise his arm, get ready to dodge.
Lastly, he has a swiping attack where he’ll stand on his back legs and swipe at you. Occasionally, this will cause him to fall, which is a good opportunity to immobilize him and deal some damage.
