In this Black Myth: Wukong How to Defeat Elder Jinchi Guide, we’re covering one of the secret bosses in Chapter 1. Elder Jinchi’s attack pattern is similar to that of the Wandering Wight, but he can summon minions. In order to find him, you must ring three bells. Read on to learn where the bells are located and how to defeat Elder Jinchi.
Ring the Three Bells To Unlock Elder Jinchi
To fight Elder Jinchi, you must unlock the Ancient Guanyin Temple, which is found after ringing three bells scattered around the forest in Chapter 1.
The first bell is next to the boss Guangzhi, near the Outside the Forest waypoint. Once he is defeated, you can ring the bell.
The second bell is near the boss Guangmou. After he is defeated, head up the stairs and you’ll see the bell.
The third bell is near the Whiteclad Noble boss, at the Ancient Guanyin Temple.
Elder Jinchi’s Attack Patterns
The boss has a range of attacks that make him challenging, on top of the fact that he can summon minions to help him restore his health. He can do a long-distance attack that can be easily evaded by dodging to the left or right. If you approach him, be careful, since this will trigger another set of attacks. He will stomp, which deals damage, jump around, and swipe his hands around. When he is doing this, immobilize him and get in as many hits as possible.
When Elder Jinchi reaches half health, he will summon more minions. Not only do they restore his health, he can command them to attack you. They will glow and chase you. If you get caught, they’ll drain your health. Run around until they stop doing this and then take them out before returning your focus to Elder Jinchi.
Elder Jinchi also has a very powerful move that must be avoided. He’ll shove his hand into the ground, creating a shockwave of power that deals significant damage. When this happens, run away and wait until he is done.
