• Make your way to the Fright Cliff in Yellow Wind Ridge.
• Go to the Squad Hideout checkpoint.
• Walk the outside road that leads to a crevice.
• Go under the bridge.
• Fight the Poisestone enemy.
• At the end of the crevasse, you will find the Man in Stone statue.

Black Myth Wukong Man in Stone Walkthrough

To start the quest, talk to the Man in Stone statue. You find out that he has been encased in rock by a Guai. The Guai is in one of the nearby caves. Your mission is to find it and reverse the Man in Stone’s condition.

How to Find the Guai:

• Go to the cave network towards the Rockrest Flat checkpoint.
• Locate the blue-lit stairs and climb them.
• The Guai boss, Mother of Stone, is at the top of the stairs.

The next step in the Black Myth Wukong Man in Stone side quest is to take down the Mother of Stone.

How to Defeat the Mother of Stone

The boss is stationary and doesn’t attack you at all. On the other hand, she has a lot of HP and minions that do the fighting for her. The Mother of Stone summons the nearby Palestones to her aid.

Start the fight by attacking the Mother of Stone and pay attention to her yelling. That’s when a Palestone will jump into battle. The first two waves spawn one enemy per wave. The third and fourth waves have two adds each. The battle can become quite intense due to the number of enemies you must keep an eye on at all times.

The Palestones have ranged attacks that you can avoid. Take them down one by one with Spirit attacks and Transformations. Immobilize and Cloud Step are recommended for this fight. Don’t be shy with those Focus points either.

After all six Palestones are down, return to the Mother of Stone and finish the fight. In addition to the Man in Stone quest item, you will also receive Stone Spirits and Yaoguai Cores.

Tip: One of the six Buddha’s Eyeballs is next to the Mother of Stone.

Black Myth Wukong Man in Stone Final Step

Take the Stone Essence to the Man in Stone. Prepare for another fight. It turns out that you have been tricked. Luckily, he doesn’t pose much of a threat as he is a normal Pitstone enemy. Once you knock some sense into him, he gives up. You can now get the Stone Essence back granting you the desirable Azure Dust Transformation. This Transformation makes you immune to status effects and capable of dealing staggering damage.
