Zodiac Village is a location in Chapter 3. You will need to defeat a story boss and collect items from an NPC before obtaining the key to the village.

Black Myth Wukong Zodiac Village: Step 1 – How to Find and Defeat Chen Loong

Chen Loong is a Chapter 3 boss. To encounter him, you must complete The New West: Turtle Island by taking down the main regional boss. Soon after, you will find yourself on a frozen beach at the Bitter Lake.

You can use the North Shore shrine on Bitter Lake as a starting point for locating Chen Loong. Walk in the opposite direction from the shrine along the beach. You will notice a hut. Get closer and you will catch sight of Chen Loong in the water. Lightning surrounds him. As you approach the boss, Admiral Bajie recognizes him.

The encounter begins as soon as you get close to the boss. Admiral Bajie assists you during the battle. Chen Loong is a humanoid dragon with lightning attacks. Avoid damage as best as you can. Bajie is a valuable companion, so this fight is not that challenging.

After Chen Loong gets a good beating, he asks for a Resurrection Pill from Xu Dog. That’s your next task.

Black Myth Wukong Zodiac Village: Step 2 – Obtain the Resurrection Pills

Xu Dog is the medicine NPC from Chapter 2. You can find him in the cellar of the Crouching Tiger Temple in Yellow Wind Ridge. Simply use the Cellar shrine to easily get there. Sun Wukong doesn’t need to do anything special to obtain the item. Talking to Xu Dog is enough. Follow the dialogue and you will receive the Special-Made Bone-Strengthening Pellet. You will also obtain the recipe for a Fortifying Medicament.

With the medicine secured in your inventory, head back to the Bitter Lake. Chen Loong waits near the location of the fight. He is by the hut now. Give him the item to receive the Ruyi Scroll, which teleports you to the Zodiac Village, also known as the Painted Realm.
