Tiger Vanguard’s Attack Pattern
The Tiger Vanguard boss wields a sword and has eight different attacks. He begins the fight by jumping into the air and then slamming both his fists into the ground, causing a mid-range AOE. While he is suspended in the air, use this time to dodge to the side. Sticking with his first, he also has an attack where he’ll punch twice, but these are on the slower side so you can dodge them if timed right. He has a similar attack to this where he uses his claws instead and it can be avoided the same way. Sometimes he’ll follow up this attack with a spin kick. After you’ve dodged the punches, prepare to back up to avoid this.
In some of his more powerful attacks, the Tiger Vanguard will use his sword, slashing it through the air in your direction. When he holds the sword back, get ready to dodge to the side. He’ll also attack you with a punching and kicking combo that he’ll roughly six times. To avoid this, back up and keep your distance while he’s doing the combo.
Lastly, if you’ve put a decent amount of distance between you and the boss, he’ll charge you and jump into the air before slamming into the ground. Dodge to the side to avoid. From a distance, he’ll also shoot projectiles at you.
How to Defeat Tiger Vanguard
After the Tiger Vanguard’s first attack, immobilize him and attack. Use your spirit to attack the boss after to deal another good hit. Keep close to the boss, since his long-distance attacks can do far more damage than his short-range ones. Dodging on time is very important, as well as patience as you memorize his attacks.
