Borderlands 4 Lost Capsules are collectible items scattered all over the map. They do not give any achievement, but they are tied to region completion.

How to Find all 20 Borderlands 4 Lost Capsules
Lost Capsules grant SDU tokens and loot. You must carry the capsule to a decrypt station in a Safehouse or Faction Town to reveal its contents. The trick is that you must walk to the station, as the capsule despawns when you enter a vehicle and you need to return to its location to collect it again. The recommendation is to discover Safehouse before getting the capsules.
The Fadefields Locations
There is a total of 6 Lost Capsules over in the Fadefields region
Lost Capsule 1 – Coastal Bonescape
On the counter on the porch of the building over in Coastal Bonescape
Lost Capsule 2 – The Howl
In the cave, near some crates.
Lost Capsule 3 – The Howl
On the table, inside the small building.
Lost Capsule 4 – The Howl
On the couch on the porch.
Lost Capsule 5 – Idolator’s Noose
Go inside the building and jump up to find the capsule.
Lost Capsule 6 – Dissected Plateau
Cross the bridge and drop down on the left.
Borderlands 4 Lost Capsules in the Terminus Range
There is another 6 Lost Capsules to be found over in the Terminus Range
Lost Capsule 7 – Cuspid Climb
Go up the stairs to find the capsule.
Lost Capsule 8 – Cuspid Climb
Use the elevator and drop down on the right to land on the platform below.
Lost Capsule 9 – Cuspid Climb
Jump down and enter the cave under the mountain.
Lost Capsule 10 – The Low Leys
Pinned to the pipe in the Thirst Scrap.
Lost Capsule 11 – Windspear
From The Nightcap monument, drop down on the left to land on the platform with the capsule.
Lost Capsule 12 – Stoneblood Forest
Pinned on the side of the bridge.
Carcadia Burn Borderlands 4 Lost Capsules
Only 5 capsules can be found in the Carcadia Burn region
Lost Capsule 13 – Ruined Sumplands
Under the pool ramp.
Lost Capsule 14 – Ruined Sumplands
On the table.
Lost Capsule 15 – Ruined Sumplands
On a small table in the enemy camp.
Lost Capsule 16 – Tonnage Peel
Next to the car chassis, near the mattress on the edge of the cliff.
Lost Capsule 17 – Lopside
In front of the One Pumper building.
Lost Capsules in Dominion
Whilst the remaining 3 capsules reside over in the Dominion region
Lost Capsule 18 – Carcadia District
Near a chair and some NPCs to the left of the Craw Daddies neon sign.
Lost Capsule 19 – Terminus District
Under the bridge in the No Escape Room area.
Lost Capsule 20 – Fades District
In a dead-end area in the Darkloam Biosphere.
