Call Elevator for Claptrap is one of the tasks you must complete during the Borderlands 4 Recruitment Drive main quest. The annoyingly lovable robot is an iconic NPC in the Borderlands series.

How to Call Elevator for Claptrap in Borderlands 4

After killing Splashzone during the Recruitment Drive main mission, your next task is to call the elevator for Claptrap in the Abandoned Post. The elevator is not working and the quest marker points to the broadcast tower above.

How to Fix the Elevator During the Borderlands 4 Recruitment Drive Mission

The first step is to reach the top of the tower. Use the grapple point to reach the platform above the pipe and then jump over to the other side.

Use the climbable spot to go up and another grapple point to reach the broadcast tower.

Claptrap will then contact you asking to call the elevator. Interact with the elevator, only to find out that you need clearance in order to make it work. Claptrap will give you a hint, which is easy to miss as he says a lot of nonsense most of the time. However, this time, Claptrap is actually helpful. He tells you to search the area for a solution and hints at the symbol on the elevator. Investigate the nearby dead bodies and find the one with the triangle symbol at the back of the neck. 

The corpse with the clearance is resting on some barrels near the railing. Take the item and place it on the elevator. Claptrap will use it to ascend and you get to listen to some more of his humorous dialogue. Once he is up, you can continue the mission.
